To breathe and be thankful for what life offers

To remember my mother and the sound of her laughter
I take a moment
To stand still and be present
I take a moment
Of silence in remembrance of my brother who fought for our country
I take a moment
To remind myself the good times out weight the bad
I take a moment
To just think about my existence
I take a moment
To pray to God and ask him to heal me
I take a moment
To take in the good, bad, and ugly
I take a moment
To embrace what life throws my way because I have the strength the push forward
