Y/n's POV
I was getting my things from the car when I saw him. He looked to be anywhere from 5'9" to 5'11". He has on a flannel shirt with a white tee underneath. He had dark hair, ocean blue eyes, and a movie star smile as he walked over to me. I had a flannel that looked almost exactly like his with a white tee underneath. He stood by the trunk of the car as I had bent down to put the heavy bag I was holding down and took off your flannel. I tied it around my waist.
I turned around and saw him with a toothpick in his mouth.
"Jesus Christ, you scared the shit outta me!" I said.
He hugged me tightly. I was confused at first because he didn't say a word. I hugged him back and looked into his eyes.
A shocked look came on my face when I realized who was hugging me. I squealed.
"SODAPOP CURTIS! I didn't know you still lived around here!" I figured he wouldn't have moved even though I knew his parents both had good-paying jobs. Well... had good-paying jobs. I completely forgot his parents had died. I should have called when I heard the news.
"Why wouldn't I still live around here?" he said
"I didn't know because I haven't seen or talked to you. Well, what I mean is sorry I didn't call." I felt so guilty.
"What do you mean 'sorry you didn't call.'"
"I mean about your parents..." I said this as I grabbed the last box from the car.
"I didn't call when my dad told me that your parents died, and I feel so guilty about it, Soda. I couldn't call my best friend because his parents died." My mom had died right before we moved. It was mainly why my dad and I had moved to Boston, he called it, 'gettin out there and exploring new things.'
He looked at me with his ocean eyes and said, "It's on {Y/n}. I didn't mind. How have you been? How's your dad?"
"I'm doing good," I wasn't doing good, my dad was still in Boston, and he rented me this one-bedroom house. "My boyfriend broke up with me before I left. I don't want to talk about that though."
Sodas POV
I looked into {Y/'s} eyes while she talked. She brought up the fact that her boyfriend has broken up with her. I then thought about Sandy.
Y/n's POV
I thought Soda looked sad. To take his mind off things, I told him to help me bring the boxes inside.
"Ok so, all the ones labeled 'bedroom' put in the bedroom and leave the rest out in the living room area," I said as I walked into the bedroom with new sheets. I tossed the package onto the bed. Boy was my bed comfortable.
A/N
Imagine the archway looking something like this with what is gonna happen next!!
Y/n's POV
I made my way to the kitchen to unpack the dishes. As I was about to step into the kitchen Soda came running in and picked me up. I yell at him to put me down.
"SODAPOP PATRICK CURTIS, PUT ME DOWN THIS INSTANT!" I screamed at him.
He threw me down on the bed and he fell to the floor dying of laughter. I hit him in the arm with my shoe. Very gently of course.
"Can I go back to what I was about to do?"
"Only if you get there first!"
He sprung up from the floor and ran to block off the archway into the kitchen. I ran after him.
He was blocking off the doorway and I tried to get through but couldn't. I saw an opening that I could squeeze through. Soda grabbed my waist and pulled me up. We were super close to each other. I looked up into his eye and started to blush. He turned me around a put me in the kitchen.
I was putting away the dishes when I realized Soda was there anymore. I looked at my watch, '5:07 p.m'. Maybe he went home. I should probably go see Ponyboy and Darry. I grabbed my keys and walked out, Locking the door behind me. I ran across the street.
Soda's POV
I heard a knock at the door. I sprung up off the couch and opened the door.
"Hey, I figured I would come over and say hi to Ponyboy and Darry. I haven't seen them in forever." Said {Y/n} as she stood on the porch.
Gosh, she was so beautiful. Her hair was up in a messy bun. She still had her flannel around her waist. Her eyes were beautiful. I could tell she had soft lips as I shook my head for her to come into the house. I had been blushing slightly and the only one who seemed to notice was Ponyboy. I glared at him and messes up his now blonde-ish brown hair.
"Well as I hope you could tell Darry isn't home right now. He has been working full-time since our parents died."
Ponyboy, of course, was laughing his ass off after he rolled off the couch. Darry came in.
"Ponyboy! I know you aren't lying on that floor instead of doing your homework!" It was looking at Darry's face. I could tell he was mad, so all I said was, "Ya Ponyboy, come on get your homework done." I looked over at {Y/n} and I gave her eyes saying 'sorry'. She nodded at me and smiled.
Y/n's POV
"Hey Dar, how have you been?" I asked him to maybe lighten the mood but he didn't say a word. He just walked into the kitchen and asked, "Are you staying for dinner, {Y/n}?"
"I guess, I don't have food at my house." Darry knew I was living back across the street because my dad called him. I only knew this because I overheard him talking.
I plopped myself down on the couch. Soda came and sat next to me and I put my legs on him. I looked at him and blushed. I covered my face in embarrassment. "After we eat do you wanna continue helping me Soda?"
