Chapter 3: Bullies

(Y/N)'s pov

I walked through the village with a book in my hands. Today I was bringing (f/b) for me and Nightmare to read together. "I can't wait for him to read it with me." I thought happily smiling to myself.

As I walked further away from the village I didn't know that people were following me. I was thinking happy thoughts of what me and Nightmare would do today until I felt something off. 

I heard chuckling and laughter behind me. I turned my head around seeing the same bullies that bullied Nightmare. "Well, well, well if it isn't it the human friend of that worthless freak that gives us negativity." 

One of the dog monsters said as he stood in front of the group. I assume that he their leader. "Nightmare isn't a worthless freak!" I shouted. "Is that so? What do you say boys should we show this human what happens when she hangs out with that freak?" He said as he cracked his knuckles.  They agreed and laughed as they brought out their weapons and started walking towards me.

I froze in fear before snapping out of it. I stood my ground. There is no way that I'm gonna show these guys that I'm weak. And especially when they called Nightmare worthless.

I growled putting the book down. Closing my eyes opening them glowing in (f/c) while summoning my (f/c) flames. One of them charged at me reading his bat aiming at my head. I quickly dodged it and hit him from behind making him welp in pain.

Before I could act I felt a fit hit in the stomach making me couch out blood staining a little bit of my dress that I wore. I was in pain but I stood up and flame punched the guys who hit me in the snout making his nose burn.

I was soon surrounded by the bullies. I moved my eyes all around me waiting for a movement. As one of them made a movement behind me lowered my head when the monster swung his claws at my head. I quickly stretched out my leg and twirled knocking him to the ground on his back.

I fired more (f/c) flames at every corner. Some dodged, some got hit. After seeing them on the ground I stood up and brushed the dirt of my (f/c) dress. Before I could leave I felt arms going underneath my arms holding me in place. I looked up seeing the leader walk up to me before smirking at the position that I am in.

He punched me hard in the stomach causing the air whirling out of me. "I think that we should teach you a lesson for hanging out with that freak and messing with us" He said as his gang stood up and took turns on hitting me.

Over the last few minutes I felt pain everywhere in my body as they delivered each blow to me. 

After a few minutes later

I fell to the ground covered in bruises, cuts and bloody wounds. "Hah...who could of known that your weak and worthless as well as that freak." One of the members said.

I was in so much pain but I was determined so I stood up holding my injured arm glaring at them who were surprised seeing me still standing after all that beating. Panting while blood came out of my mouth. "N-nobody... even you bullies...SHOULD EVER TALK TO NIGHTMARE LIKE THAT!!!" I shouted as I lifted my hands forwards firing a full blast at the bullies sending them far away from me. 

I panted tired after using lots of my magic. I turned picking up my book and limped towards the tree of feelings. Seeing Nightmare waiting for me. "N-night-mare..." I said weakly hoping that he would hear me. And luckly he heard me. He turned his head, eyes widened seeing me in the state that I'm in. He ran towards me. I lost my balance and fell face forward. I couldn't open my eyes but I did catch a glimpse of Nightmare crying while carrying me towards the tree before I passed out in total darkness.

Nightmare's pov

I was getting worried while waiting for (Y/N) to come. She shouldn't take that long. My thoughts were interrupted until I heard her voice but in a weak state "N-night-mare...". I turned with my eyes widened seeing her beaten up with bruises, cuts and bloody wounds. I stood up and ran towards her. Seeing her fall to the ground in pain closing her eyes I picked her up and carried her towards the tree so I can heal her. After she wakes up I will ask her who did this to her.

And when I find out who hurted her...MERCY WOULDN'T BE AN OPTION FOR THEM.

I lied her on the stump on the tree and started to heal her. Making her bruises go away. I wrapped bandages around her wounds and her bloody spots. After I was done I waited until I heard her grunt. In alarm I looked at her while she opened her eyes looking weakly at me. "N-nightmare?" I didn't respond only cry and hug her tightly.

 I was glad that she was okay. "Now it's time to find out who did this to her" I thought madly to myself. "Nightmare I'm fine" She said. "No your not (Y/N)...who...did...this to you?" I said with an angry voice, with empty eye sockets. 

(Y/N)'s pov

"No your not (Y/N)...who...did...this to you" Nightmare asked scaring me with his eye sockets"No one did" I said scared looking away from him. He grabbed my arms and made my look at him. He had a worried face. "(Y/N), please...tell me who." He begged. "Should I tell him? I mean if I tell him that it was the same people that bullied him he might get upset." I thought. I sighed. "Do you remember the first time we met?" I asked "Yes..." "It were the same people that bullied you" I said sadly.

Nightmare's pov

I was so filled with RAGE after hearing that the ones who bullied me hurted (Y/N). She is the only thing that I care about right now and they still hurted her. I wanted to make them pay for what they've done, I wanted to see them in pain, I wanted them dead. They will suffer for this I thought. I looked at (Y/N) who was crying a little bit. I hugged her comforting her. She hugged me back.

I growled. "I will show them...I'll show them and Dream what happens when they mess with my (Y/N)" I thought furiously before grinning. I'll kill them...I'LL KILL THEM ALL!!!" I though darkly.
