It was a normal day in the city of Paris, as normal as things can be when your city gets attacked by a supervillain at least once a week, but within it all that had become the new normal for the great community. Though within it there were still those who ultimately didn't want to accept that reality, Alice Boone was one of those people.
Alice Boone was just a normal girl, she went to a normal high school(well it does get targeted often by akumas but that's beside the point) and had normal friends and hobbies. That's all there is to her, and she likes magical girl anime but that's pretty normal too. But ultimately she wished for a world without akumas, though there isn't really much she could do about it. She isn't a hero like Ladybug, or Chat Noir.
And it was a normal uneventful day for Alice. She was just finishing up at Françoise Dupont High School for the day and was packing up her things in the locker room, when she felt a tap on her shoulder. "Huh?" Alice quietly says before turning around to see her best friend Violet facing her with a smile on her face. "Oh hey Violet, what's up?" Alice says as she pulls her backpack onto her back.
"Nothing much, I'm happy that there wasn't an akuma attack today. There has already been one this week, and it's only Wednesday. How many more do you think will go down before next Monday?" Violet asks as the two girls leave the locker room.
Alice sighs as the girls continue walking, "Let's hope for none, these akuma attacks just get on my nerves as a whole. Why does Hawkmoth feel the need to torture the city like this?" Alice answers with a slightly annoyed inflection in her voice.
"I get what you are saying girl, like does he not have anything better to do? And why does he want Ladybug and Chat Noir's Miraculous anyway? They are just jewelry." Violet says with just pure confusion. The girls had questioned this so many times, and they never truly could find an answer to it.
Alice just shrugs as they stop at the crosswalk. "Yeah true, like he has to want them for something. For what we may never know, I doubt the heroes know much of it either." Alice adds as the light turns red and they can cross. "You said it, so you headed straight home today?" Violet asks with an eyebrow raise.
Alice shakes her head, "No, my mom asked me to go get a dessert for dinner later. I'm going to stop by the bakery before I head home. You can go on ahead without me, I don't mind." Alice says with a smile, and Violet nods. "That makes sense, I'll see you tomorrow girl." Violet says before running off towards her apartment.
"Ok then, let's go. To the bakery!" Alice says to herself as she walks to the nearby bakery, as she was walking she was humming the song Your Mirror from her favorite show. It was just pleasant and kept Alice calm. After a few minutes she reached her destination, Tom & Sabine Boulangerie Patisserie.
The brunette girl headed inside where she saw a dark haired girl her age working the register. This was Marinette Dupain-Cheng, her parents owned the place. She was also a fellow student "Hey Alice, the usual?" Marinette asks politely. "You know it, so how are you?" Alice asks with a small smile.
Marinette smiles back before placing a box of a dozen cherry macarons on the counter. "Pretty good, Papa just needed me to work the register for the afternoon since him and Mom were out getting stock across the city. Your total is 3.21 euros." Marinette says, Alice nods before placing the money on the counter.
