Chapter 8

hi losers its vanessa again. :-) this was lexie's chapter but she doesn't have her cell phone often so she told me a basic outline of her idea for the chapter so I'm just expanding her idea. love you guys. thanks for 584 reads you guys.

Maddie's POV

To say I was sad I failed again was an understatement. I felt like the failure truck hit me off a cliff into failure valley. I felt like shit. I just want Shawn back.

Cam hasn't left me alone. I think he told Jacob what happened like 10 minutes ago because he texted me saying he was on his way over whether I liked it or not. Cam is definitely hiding something from me.

"I'm gonna go wait for Jacob downstairs." Cam starts to get up.

"Oh no your not!" I grab the back of Cam's shirt and pull him back to the bed. "What the hell are you hiding from me?!" He turns to face me and scratches the back of his head.

"Nothing..." He trails off and avoids eye contact. I look at him, hurt. We tell each other everything. He is my best friend along with Carissa.

"Then leave Cameron! If you wanna hide shit leave. I have been 100% honest when you ask me something. If you don't want to be like that with me, then by all means, get out and don't come back." Cam looked extremely hurt. He stood up and paced around. "Cameron!"

"WHAT MADDIE?!" Jacob stood at the doorway confused with Cam's sudden outburst.

"What the hell is going on?! I'm fucking fine." No, I'm not.

"WE'RE THROWING A HUGE ASS PARTY, BUT WE WERE TRYING TO KEEP IT A SURPRISE BUT YOU ARE ACCUSING ME OF BEING A BAD FRIEND WHEN I'M TRYING TO BE THE BEST FRIEND I CAN BE AND THROW YOU A PARTY SO IT KEEPS YOUR MIND OFF SHAWN AND BECAUSE IT'S YOUR BIRTH MONTH CHRIST."

"I'm sorry Cam. I think I'm paranoid that I'm gonna loose someone. You guys know I hate surprises through right?" I laughed as Cam face palmed.

"I told you Cam!" Jacob laughed as he sat on my bed next to me.

"You knew?"

"Duh. Your like my sister. I helped planned it you idiot." I rolled my eyes.

We all talked like this for awhile. Laughing, mostly, but on occasion me crying a little. They told me they were gonna pick me up in 3 hours for the party, but for me to act excited and surprised. I nodded and started to get ready.

I put on a skin tight black dress with slits with white material covering the slits from the inside. I went to my closet and slipped on my nude heels with little bows on the side. I grab my pearl twisted tree set. I slip the neckless on then the earrings. I decided to leave my hair natural and put a flower crown in it. I slip on three half rings and start with my makeup. (Outfit above ((lexie picked the dress btw... 😂)))

As I finished up, Cam knocked on my door and we left. Jacob texts me on the way there about my dress saying I should've covered up. I just rolled my eyes and stuck my tongue out at him when he looked at me. We pulled up into a nice hotel. Cameron helped me out of the car an walked me into the hotel.

"Remember be surprised." I laughed and nodded. We walked to a room that said "Ballroom Doors" and Cameron opened them. A bunch of my friends were there. I "freaked out" falsely and truthfully. Some of my party friends from Canada were here. I smiled when I looked at Cam and Jacob and hugged Jacob first. I looked at Cam then I hugged him too.

Shawn's POV

So I was at this thing for Maddie. Nash invited me because Cameron is on his period and is mad at me or some shit. I felt like I should go. So here I am. I see Maddie walk in. She looks so surprised. I smiled a bit. I got up to talk to her, but right as I was making my way to her, she kisses Cam on the cheek. I clench my jaw in rage.
