"That's it for this day, dismissed."

The word that I desperately need the most.

"Hey Hagene, let's go buy ice crea—"

"Sorry Sun, I have somewhere I need to go." I cut off his suggestion.

"Oh, okay. Take care!" I ran off leaving him. "Why is she so fast at escaping?"

I left school and head straight to the hospital. I had to take a cab since it's kinda far away.

The moment I arrived, I went to his room floor. "207, Park Jay."

"Hey..." I smiled at his greeting the moment I entered. "my little sister."

"Jay," I sat beside him in his bed. "How are you feeling?"

"Still handsome as ever." He gave me a grin.

"Shut it." I snorted.

My real mother died when I was still 7 years old, she raised me alone so I always believed that I had no father. However, when she passed away, my dad came and adopted me.

Jay is my half brother but he didn't treat me indifferently. His mother was kind, dad also apologized for leaving us.

"Love works in mysterious ways, my daughter." The words my mother always said to me even though I have no absolute idea what she's pertaining to.

He laughed at my comment. "How is school?" He asked.

"Boring, the only one who makes it enjoyable is Sunoo."

"Thought so, he's so precious to you. Kinda wonder why you're not dating him." He chuckled.

"Jay, a male and a female can also be best of friends. Are you stupid?" I rolled my eyes at him.

"I'm stupidly handsome."

Why is he like this?

"How are the guys?"

"Still rowdy." and annoying, I wanted to add.

"By the way, I'm going to be released today."

"What?" I didn't know that. "Are you okay now?"

"Yep, mom and dad will fetch me. You should go home first though."

"Can't I just drag you home right now?" I suggested.

"No, you dragging me is way worse than being hit by a car."

I smacked his forehead. "Ouch!"

"Shut it."

"You're so harsh, you and mom didn't even visited me last time." He pouted.

I sighed. "We were attending a funeral."

"Of whom?" He asked, confused.

"Funeral of Mr. Yang."

The room was filled with silence. I expected this, he still didn't know that Mr. Yang died.

"How is Jungwon?" He broke the silence.

"He's probably devastated." He is doing extremely fine.

"How about you? You were so close with him." He asked worriedly, he was aware of how close I am with Mr. Yang. He was basically my second father.

"Still affected but I can't do anything about it, right?"

Suddenly there was a knock, a nurse entered.

"Mr. Park, let's get you checked up."

I stood up. "I better go now, it's getting dark."

"Yeah, be careful sis." I nodded in response.

I went outside and looked up. It was an orange sky, I used to love it now I don't. It reminds me of Mr. Yang's death and the reason why my brother is in the hospital.

-August 8, 5:23 PM.
Jay was caught in a car accident. He almost broke his bones and had to be admitted in the hospital. It was a minor accident and the one who caused it was Mr. Yang.

He apologized to our parents and Jay, he even suggested to get sued but Jay stopped him. He forgave him but someone else didn't.

Jungwon.

-September 2, 5:48 PM. I went to Jungwon's house to see Mr. Yang. I knocked, however, no one answered. I opened the unlocked door and was expecting to be greeted by his sweet mother, but what I saw terrified me.

It was Mr. Yang's dead body and Jungwon holding a bloody knife.

I immediately hid behind the door. He didn't noticed me. In fear, I ran away and left their residence. The orange sky witnessing my vulnerable self.

The next day, her mother announced that they were robbed and her husband was killed in the middle of the chaos. The thieves escaped, along with Yang Jungwon's sanity.

The reason why I suspect him so much is not just because of what I witnessed.

He can't forgive his dad for sending Jay to the hospital.

Because he's obsessed with my brother.

Yang Jungwon loves Jay.

"I'm home." No one answered, they were still at work. The maids are probably working outside.

I went to my room and didn't bother to change my uniform. I laid down, feeling restless. It was an exhausting day.

I was about to close my eyes when my phone suddenly rang. I picked it up after I saw who the caller is

"Hello? Hagene, you idiot."

"Nice way to greet me, Gyu." I chuckled.

"You didn't answer my calls, how dare you. Did I raised you to be like that, huh?"

I sat on my bed and hugged my pillow. "You didn't raise me, stupid."

"Hey, you called me stupid! Friendship over."

He's so dramatic, for what?

"Shut it, Gyu. What do you want?"

"How rude, I just wanted to hear my girlfriend's voice."

"Stop messing around, you're single."

"Ouch! Anyways, I heard someone died there. I'm not close with your acquaintances but condolences."

"Hmm."

"And I want you to know that I'll probably go to your school starting tomorrow."

That made me stand up. "What?!"

"Hey chill, I'm not gonna disturb you... maybe."

"But it's already September?"

"So? I'm smart so they accepted me right away, besides, I'm good looking."  I mentally rolled my eyes at his comment.

"Narcissist."

"But you love me right?"

"No, I don't. "

"Oh no, I know you do—"

I ended the call.

Stupid Beomgyu. He should have told me in advance that he's going to my school.

I sighed and decided to sleep without eating. Hoping that tomorrow will be peaceful, and Yang Jungwon will no longer exist.
