It was autumn. The atmosphere is serene and there were traces of tears from people's eyes. They were friends and family of the dead.We were all wearing white, it was beautiful. Mr. Yang would be overjoyed to see people wearing his favorite color.
Leaves falling to the ground made it more aesthetic. He was the type of father who prefers sweeping fallen leaves over snow.
I'm wearing the dress that he gave me when I was still 12 years old. Too bad he can't see me wearing it.
I hear sniffling, they were already throwing flowers to the ground. I threw mine, a white lily. Suddenly, I remembered someone who likes lilies.
Yang Jungwon, his son.
He was just standing and staring at his father's dead body in the ground. He can no longer see him anymore.
Jungwon was my elementary crush. It lasted for about 6 years, my heart was persistent even though it was a one sided love.
We were classmates since 1st grade and our parents were close to each other. No one knew that I like Jungwon but Mr. Yang was an exception. He helped me get close to him, it was that easy.
He was a kind tito. The type who would spoil his grandchildren and give them candies every halloween. Him dying definitely scarred me.
"Let's go." My mom whispered to my ears. The burial ceremony was over. One last time, I looked back at the grave. Jungwon was smiling at me.
I didn't smiled back.
Because he was the one who killed Mr. Yang.
