HARRY'S POV
''Niallll'', Harry whined for the hundredth time in a time span of an hour. It was his first date with Louis, that Louis had organised himself in return for his song. ''Is this okay?'', he asked. He had tried about ten different outfits but none of them felt right. ''Yes H, you look good.'', Niall sighed. ''I wanna look great, not good!'', he whined, again. ''H, you look great okay?'', the Irish boy said. ''You said it the second time.'', he muttered as he went in again, digging in his closet. ''I can't believe these dramatic ass bitches ended up together and look perfect, god really did create quite a couple here.'', Niall muttered, as Harry came out again wearing a suit. ''This is perfect! You look great!'', Niall exclaimed. Harry grinned, showing off his dimples and went outside where Louis was already waiting for him. For the first time, Harry saw Louis in a suit and thought how perfect he looked, except for one thing. He stepped up to him, smiling, as he adjusted his collar, making him perfect. ''Thanks. You know I never wear a suit.'', Louis said, flustered as Harry just nodded. ''Let's go?'' ''Yes.''
Louis parked up their car in front of a reallyyy fancy restaurant. As they stepped in, Harry was speechless, it was a beautiful restaurant and he was glad he wore a suit, and he understood why Louis wore one too. Louis went up to the receptionist and asked for their reservations as a waitress guided them in, to their tables. Once they were settled, Harry asked, ''Lou, how in the world did you even find this place?'' ''Oh um, actually mum told me once about it, it was where Uncle Ross actually had one of his marriage's rehearsal dinner, not to mention where my parents hooked up but I really don't wanna go in that, too much information, makes me puke.'', Louis explained, making Harry chuckle.
"Yeah please, I don't need those images in my head," Harry laughed. As he sat down, he wondered why he was so nervous. The conversation was flowing smoothly and it wasn't awkward. There was a little flirting but not over the top to make it seem very cringy, and don't forget the footsie they were playing under the table. Just when he was thinking that Louis caught both of Harry's feet between his own.
"Haha try getting out of this one Harold," Louis snickered. Harry pouted, "'M name's not Harrold."He thrashed and tried to get out of the position but Louis was just too strong. "This isn't fair," Harry whined then shut up quickly because the adjoining tables were giving him weird looks. "I guess we'll have to stay like this the rest of the night then," Louis shrugged casually and looked down at his menu. While Harry secretly enjoyed the compromising position he was in, he was a very fidgety person so he couldn't bear the thought of staying like that the whole time.
"How about I make you a deal?"Haz smirked. Lifting an eyebrow Louis said, "I'm listening."
"How about you let my feet go right now. And I'll let you kiss me after dinner?"
Louis pretended to think about it for a while, but eventually shrugged and said, "You drive a hard bargain,I accept."They shook hands and Louis, somewhat reluctantly let Harry's feet go. ''Okay now what do you wanna eat?'', Louis asked, maybe a little too loudly. He looked around to see the people at the tables nearby staring at him. ''Lou!'', Harry chuckled. ''Remember when I said you were loud, loud and loud? This is what I meant'', he joked, laughing, making Louis chuckle, maybe a tad bit nervously. ''How about lasagna?'', Harry asked. ''Whatever you want.'', Louis whispered. ''You don't have to whisper, you know.'', Harry said, shaking his head, assuming it was one of Louis' sarcastic jokes.
Tob honest though he was surprised they were in such an expensive restaurant. Not that he was complaining, no. Harry loved this kind of stuff. Except he knew Louis liked things more down to earth, so it came across as a shock that they were there. But he felt really touched, that Lou went through all of this trouble just for him.
LOUIS' POV
As the waiter placed the matching plates of steaming lasagna in front of them, Louis' mouth watered at the taste. Unfortunately, the dish seemed to contain more plate and less lasagna. What was with expensive restaurants and less food?
Now, what fork was he supposed to use? There were so many kinds of cutlery, and Lou had no idea which one was appropriate. Glancing over at the curly-haired boy, he noticed that Harry knew exactly which fork and which knife to use and was cutting his lasagna into tiny pieces and putting them into his mouth. Hell, Louis didn't even know he had to use a knife for lasagna. He hesitantly picked up the exact same cutlery, copying Harry. Thank god Harry didn't notice him. As they started eating, Louis, while chewing, looked up at Harry. He was so sophisticated, knowing where and what to use, these fancy restaurants, cutlery, clothes were all his style. Louis preferred flavour more than presentation. (a/n, the louis cooking video was so funny) Louis was like the opposite of Harry. ''Lou to earth?'', Harry asked, taking Louis out of his thoughts. ''I know I'm pretty but you don't have to stare at me, love'', Harry joked. Suddenly, Louis felt weird, very weird. His collar was chafing him, he loosened it a bit, coughing. ''Are you okay? You're sweating.'', Harry said, concerned. Louis didn't even realise he was sweating. ''Yeah just a bit hot I guess.'', he answered. ''Well, gotta tell you, you look way hotter than 'just a bit hot''', Harry flirted. Normally, Louis would reply or be proud of such a compliment but instead, he just smiled.
''Lou, seriously are you okay?'', Harry asked, ''You don't seem yourself.'' ''I'm fine.'', Louis said and smiled as he pretended to act normal for the rest of the night, he didn't want Harry's night to be ruined. After the dinner, which felt like a lifetime to Louis, they left the restaurant. During the entire date, Louis noticed everything about Harry and him. When they left the restaurant, his mind was flooded with questions, they were so different from each other, would this actually work, would they work out? Did he deserve Harry? Could he give Harry the happiness he deserved? Was he good enough for him?
