The two teens sat bundled up, on the roof of the boy's car while looking up at the night sky. There were thousands of stars decorating the night, and frigid wind provided the perfect excuse for him to wrap his arm around her. There faces were frozen, their noses were pink, and their teeth were chattering but they didn't want to disturb the blissful moment. "What is one thing that no one knows about you?" Sammy asked a shivering Ellis.

"Hmm," she did her best to think, but it wasn't like she was the secretive type. "I really like to draw, and paint," she confessed finally. He smiled over at her, and she felt her cheeks begin to burn.

"Really?" He grinned and she nodded. "Think you could show me sometime?" There was a pure interest in his voice, and it was genuine, because he really was interested. He was intrigued by her, he wanted to know all of her deepest thoughts, and all of her favorite songs, and her favorite books. He wanted to know everything, and it was all so foreign to him. He never really put to much thought into other girls, but he was so curious when it came to Ellis.

"What's something that nobody knows about you?"

"Me?" He grinned and looked down. "I've never had a real girlfriend before," he looked back up at her and she looked puzzled. "You seem surprised?"

"I am," she laughed. "What about all those girls you always kissed in the hallways?"

"Wow, Ellis...were you watching me?" He teased causing her to playfully roll her eyes. "Nah, those were just...flings. I've only met one girl who I actually wanted to be my girlfriend," he bit his lip and she smiled.

"Oh yeah? Who's that?" She tucked a piece of her brown hair behind her ear, and he felt a swarm of butterflies rush through him. It was the small things that she did, that drove him crazy. "Well?" She smiled trying her hardest not to giggle.

"I can't tell you," he smirked.

"What! Why?" She asked while laughing uncontrollably. "Do I know her?"

"Yep, that's why I can't tell you," he kissed her forehead and she smiled softly. She wanted to know, because secretly she hoped it was her. Of course she would never tell him that. "Here, let's sit in the car. I can tell you're really cold," he gestured to her pale cheeks which were turning a faint purple. She nodded in agreement, and he helped her down and opened up the door for her. It took a few minutes for the car to warm up, but when it did - they were so relieved, and they soaked in all of the warmth.

They stayed quiet for awhile, completely content with the company of the other. They would glance over at each other occasionally, and let out subtle laughs. As cliche as it was, Ellis felt her cheeks begin to hurt from the burn of blushing, and they were aching from grinning so wide. Her golden irises looked so divine with the dim lighting coming from the car, and he wanted nothing else but to kiss her. But he knew, she was the type of girl that needed to be respected, and he couldn't just barge through without getting to know her. She was highly intelligent and independent, he was going have to work, and earn her trust.

"Your family seems nice," Sammy said finally causing her to look at him. When she giggled, he had regretted what he had said, but Ellis didn't mind.

"Yeah," she grinned. She looked at the clock and saw that she had twenty minutes until her curfew. "Oh, I didn't realize it was going on midnight already," she said with wide eyes. "I have to be home in twenty minutes."

"Oh, it is pretty late isn't it?" He chuckled, and she smiled that warm smile that he was already growing so accustom to. "We better get going, we're still about ten minuets out of town," she nodded and fastened her seatbelt.

The ride to her house was comfortably silent, she stared out the window taking in all of the vast open space that looked so illuminated by the moonlight. She would also glance over at him, seeing that he was so focused on the road, and when he could feel her eyes on her, his would meet hers for a brief second, and they were both out of breath. Neither of them were used to the feeling, it was so unfamiliar, but they both secretly loved it.
