. . .

As night fell deeper as the haze of clouds reveals the stars that filled the sky turning the darkness to the softest of black velvets illuminated by heaven-spun stars. It was the fleeting promises of life in the darkness, a sense of warmth residing beside the cold winds.

The satin white gold edged drapes of Jingshi fluttered softly as the cold breeze of midnight reached to caress the man in black silks. Tossing and turning around again he reached the edge of the bed he lay restlessly. His long Hair dangled on the edge of the bed softly braided in a red ribbon and his front hair tousled in agony. He sighed again rubbing his forehead as he tossed around on the bed for the nth time. For he was conflicted as hell's sake. 'Why?' He ponders closing his eyes shut tightly as the guilt grips him reminding.

"Should be enough" Wangji states moving back from the kiss. Was someone to utter anything more his eyes shot daggers warning not to cross the lines. Holding Wuxian in his arms with his face hidden buried in his chest he storms across the ancestral halls.

They walked along to their chamber as Wuxian finally pushes Wangji off as he was holding him too tightly and against his consent. Wangji stumbles weakly surprising Wei Ying, for he had not even used any spiritual strength.

Wuxian holds Wangji supporting him as he almost collapsed sliding into their room's doorway. Wangji slides down the closed-door clutching tightly on the fabric of his chest. His eyes closed in pain. It felt as he were to faint. 'Wasn't he alright a while ago? walking those long halls so perfectly!' Wuxian thinks. 'Was it..' He suspects as he hastily kneeled shoving off Wangji's robes to look at the wound he caused. Wangji tried to fight him off to maintain his decency, but Wuxain was resolute. He needed to look at the wounds he caused. He almost thought his claws had no effect on Wangji. He looks at the deep clawed marks on the other's chest with the blood clotted black. Guilty, Wei Ying kneaded his brows together, his eyes trembled in confliction as he leaned in quickly to suck the marks he made himself.

Wangji gasped at the action as he shoved Wei Ying aside forcefully, the tips of his ears slightly flushed. Wei Ying looked at him with his tender almond eyes. He was angry, he was upset, he was confused at himself too, but a strange force tugged wrenching his heart in pain. Shoving his thoughts aside. "Don't move. Only I can heal it, it's poisoned with fox toxins. Let me" He pleads softly regardless of the screaming conflicting thoughts of harming him. Yet he leans in utmost affection to lick, the marks again. But Wangji pushes him aside again, stopping him. Wei Ying looks at him.'Was he for real? He is going to be severely poisoned if it is not taken out.'

"If you're worried, th_en Why_ wh_y  injure in the first place?"Wangji asks, not meeting his eyes. Wei Ying's worried expression turns to reveal his inner conflictions on his face. He was humiliated. Even though affection resided their marital bond was insulted in front of those all people. " I _I kn_ow,  I know I should not ha_ve...but"

For once Wei Yings does not know how to continue, instead, he clicks his tongue concluding to leave it unanswered as he decides to resume the necessary hovering over Wangji. Dumfounded Wangji gulps crawling backwards, trying to escape the fox, his eyebrows slightly twitching responding to his now anxious heart. Wuxian wanted to complain and brawl for he was conflicted at this love-hate situation if this man in front of him has not been confusing enough, then there were the things he heard, now this, his heart that is tugging to believe this very man who stated to kill him and his clan. "Heyy!.. "he wanted to ask and say lengths but his eyes fell at the darkening chest of Wangji. He frowns, urgently snapping his fingers as his fox fires to hold Wangji's wrists and ankles in place.
