As they passed by Duka road, they went up on the hill and Nanami started to pant and heave a huge breath as they go up. At one point, Yooa had to hold both her bags and the box at the same time and overtake Nanami because her friend kept sitting down to take a rest.
This has always been like this. Everyday after school or karate class, they will go up and Yooa would have to drag Nanami all the way because she would start to lose her breath out of exhaustion. It's funny because they've climbed this hill together for years now and Nanami still hasn't got used to it. And here they are once again. Nanami exhausted and dying, while Yooa carries all the things and waited for her to catch up.

Eventually, they reached the top and in the left far corner of the land, across a bridge, is Yooa's home. A home like no other traditional house.
So they marched up there. But not after Nanami had her rest.

As soon as Yooa stepped a foot on the front yard, she practically almost dropped all her things. Yooa was suddenly overcome with a burst of joy and sadness at the same time, its overwhelming. To see her house once again after 3 years feels great to her. It just feels relaxing to be here again.

"It looks the same. Like.. nothing has changed. Don't you think?"
Yooa turned around and asked when she saw Nanami crawling on the ground before standing up with wobbly legs. She bends her body and stretches before answering.

"Oh yeah- definitely haven't aged."
They both stand in the yard and examines the house.

Without realizing the time, they stood there for 6 minutes straight. Nanami nudged Yooa shoulder to snapped her back to reality and they both head to the front porch.
Knock Knock

"Mdm Ito? It's Nanami." Nanami greeted. Yooa steadies and perks herself, waiting for the door to open with a smile.
No one answered.
Knock Knock

"Gogon~ Hello? Anyone there?"
When there's no response, they both exchanged looks.
So Yooa tried this time. She knocks on the door a little harder and called "Gon? I'm here. It's Yooa."

Then there's a soft muffled voice. It repeated Yooa's name questioningly and then loud footsteps could be heard approaching.

"Oh I know that step." Nanami crosses her arms and waits. She looks to Yooa. "If I were you, I'd dropped all those things now." She pointed at Yooa's bags and the box.

Before she could question why. The door flies open and a gust of wind hits Yooa. She staggers backwards as if been pushed before steadying herself--but then made eye contact with another one of her childhood best friends; Jiro who is standing tall at the door.

Jiro held eye contact with her longer than necessary. After a long pause- a smile that could catch any girl's heart formed on his slender yet masculine face. Yooa formed a tiny smile and wave when suddenly Jiro strides forward.

"No Jiro-" Nanami reaches to stop him but Jiro was already extending his arms and wraps them around Yooa in a flash.

"Woah-" Yooa gasp as she was pulled flush against Jiro. The box and bags she has been holding fall from her grip and landed right on her toes. "OW!" Yooa yelps away from Jiro and started to hop on one leg. Instantly Jiro and Nanami tend to Yooa. They brought her into the house.

Before she could comprehend what to do, coffee is served on the table, and Jiro and Nanami is sitting across from her in the living room, gossiping about their lives. Yooa learned that Jiro is now a teacher and he's teaching at their old school. Yooa looks at him with full admiration as he's the first to get a job in their group. Jiro has always wanted to be a teacher, and he would tell his dreams and the things that he'll do once he becomes one to both Nanami and Yooa. Yooa finds herself smiling as Jiro talks about his experience at his school.
Yooa sips on her coffee as she hears more about his story.
