The race to get a paper

It was a normal day for the white beard pirates. Most people were doing their task for the morning. A few people were goofing off. Usually Ace would be one of them but today he was reading the paper scanning it for one of two things.
The first was news about his little brother and his crew's adventures. Most of the time anything about the straw hats Ace would brag about until pops gave him a mission just to give the crew a break.
The other thing was something much more business than leisure for Ace. So far nothing major had turned up about the murderous traitor who had killed one of his brothers and crew mates then formed his own crew. The only information Ace had found so far was that he had attacked an island known as drum island.
The drum island information came just a few days before news of his little brother landing on the same island.  That had honestly scared Ace to death with the knowledge of the person he wanted to kill the most being in the same general area as the person he most wanted to protect. Pops had forbidden him from hunting down Teach though and as much as he wanted to see Luffy again there was no way he was going to be able to stop himself from hunting the traitor down if he got anywhere close. And the straw hats where definitely close to teach's last known location.
Today though he didn't have to look hard for either of the two pieces of information he was looking for. They were both front page and much to his displeasure in the same article.  It was his biggest fears confirmed.
"New warlord pick after capture of Straw Hat" the headline reads.
"He didn't" Ace growls.
Many of the Whitebeard pirates noticed Ace's intense focus on the paper as he read. A couple of them had already stopped and where watching to see if he smiled or not at the news. The look they saw though was not the reaction they were expecting from the fire logia. At first the paper started to catch fire where Ace held it. His face looked frightened as his eyes darted back and forth across the page completely ignoring the fire he was starting. As he continues to read it his facial expression becomes more of a mix of anger and terror then most new Ace was capable of. Then they watched as he completely burst into flames and the paper in his hands disintegrates into ash in a single blink of an eye.
"They know" the flame that is Ace says in the most frightened voice the crew has ever heard from their second division commander.
"Hand me a paper" one guy yells after watching the scene unfold. It then becomes an all men for themselves race to get ahold of the few papers aboard the ship.
No one noticed Ace slip off down the hall in the direction of the captain's quarters. He did hear someone ask one very important question that anyone who didn't know Luffy as well as his brother would ask after reading the article.
"Why would the government go to that extreme over a rookie? Even if he is a super rookie."
Ace knew that answer. Much like himself his little brother wasn't some nobody who was making a name for himself as a pirate. The brothers were both people that the government wanted dead before they were born all because of who their fathers were. Something Ace knew one Monkey D Garp had gone to great lengths to hide from the world government. Something gramps had apparently failed at now.
Ace calmed himself down more as he got closer to the door he was heading towards. His plan to ask pops for the biggest favor he thought he would even have to ask him for. To save his little brother.
Just then the door opened. Marco closed the door and looked directly at him.
"I take it you've seen today's paper?"  Marco ask without any hesitation.
"How did he know? How could he? How can they do this to him? Why Luffy? I'm going to kill Teach." Ace broke down right there in the hallway.
"I'm guessing you probably want to talk to pops"
