Chapter 8 Merry holidays (part 1/2)

All night I wrapped presents, kicking noiz out for the things I got him he always layed on me. Not listening I bonked him on the head, kicking him out I locked my door. Shaking my head I continued what I started, when I was done I opened my bedroom door to find noiz in his wolf form. Sighing, I crouched down beside him and picked him up, although he stirred in his sleep he never woke up. Laying him down under the covers I stayed up a little longer, laying ren in my lap I stroked his navy blue fur. I let out a sigh before putting him in his small dog bed, getting in bed beside noiz I faced away from him. When I felt him move I closed my eyes, when I saw he had turned over I turned off the lamp.
Laying there in silence was lonely, I had to admit I wanted to be heald by noiz, I wanted to feel his hand on my head. I don't know why but when koujaku kissed me I felt nothing, but when noiz kisses or touches me I get butterflies in my stomach. Rolling over to face him I was startled when I saw he was awake, falling out of bed noiz looked down at me. "What do you think your doing?" He asked raising an eyebrow, "you scared me, what do you expect?" I growled looking up at the blond. He smiled as I got back in bed, faint away from him I closed my eyes, almost asleep noiz wrapped his arms around my torso and leaned his head against the back of my neck.
Huddling up I soon fell asleep, once morning came I found myself up to noiz's chest, his cologne made my nostrils flare since I liked it. His ears were twitching once or twice as he breathed in and out, slowly sitting up I grabbed the presents and headed downstairs. Granny was already up, like always, she was cooking something different this year apparently because it smelled different once I entered the kitchen. "Merry holidays" she said hugging me, "uh...don't you mean merry Christmas?" I asked putting on a fake smile. "Same thin...different saying" she said smacking me on the head with her paper fan.
Chuckling I sat down at the kitchen table, "when will we start opening?" I asked eyeing the presents under the 5 foot tree. "Once everyone is fully awake" she said washing her hands, groaning I sat my head on the table and let out a sigh. An hour passed and we were soon joined by noiz, who was carrying ren under his arm, "morning you two" she said with a kind smile. "Morning" ren responded as noiz sat him at the table, noiz seemed to be lost in thought and didn't respond. Ignoring his silence I explained to ren about the gift opening. He gave a nod as noiz sat down beside me, I could see the outlining of his ears on his head, covered by hair I knew he had his tail wrapped around his leg in his baggy jeans.
After a half hour of waiting, we soon got to the presents. I then noticed noiz seemed a little upset when we gathered around in the living room to exchange. Giving ren his present he soon got two more from granny, opening them with his teeth and shaking his head a couple of times I saw he had gotten a pair of dog sized reindeer antlers and a small red ball for his nose, along with the sweater I got him. He thanked both me and granny and granny was next, when she saw I got her what she wanted she smiled. After she was done it was noiz's turn as he opened his presents he snickered at the shirt I got him. "It suits you" I said as granny whacked me on the head again.
Noiz also thanked me for the other things I got him. Once it was my turn I soon found I got the jacket I had been wanting for a while, a new belt and a little trinket from koujaku, that came in the mail. I didn't know what it was but I knew I should still thank him for it. Cleaning up the wrappers from the torn up presents we washed up for Christmas dinner, even though it was only 3 in the afternoon. After eating we talked for another 3 hours about the plans for the new year. After it was 6 granny had to leave, she had a friend in the hospital and she wanted to give them their present. Ren said he'd join her. After they left noiz and I were home alone, I noticed he still seemed upset.
Walking upstairs I mentioned, "you know its okay if you couldn't buy anything, besides today went better than I though it would." Noiz followed up after me and leaned against my bedroom door, "I know" he had no expression. Standing in front of him he brought his ears out and rubbed them, "but I don't need presents" he said grabbing my wrist, "all I need is you aoba" he said not having any sign of regret of saying what he just said. Blushing I looked away, noiz put his hand on my desk and turned my head to look at him. "I love you" he said pecking my lips and throwing my on the bed. Knowing what was going to happen next I pulled one of my pillows over my face embarrassed. Noiz grabbed my wrist as he sat on me, "let me see your face" he said in a husky tone. TBC
