Chapter Eight

Violet's Pov
You know it was kinda odd. I would walk around, and occasionally my power would act up, seeing all these human life clocks above their heads tickling away. It was a sad thought. Life was such a fearful experience, some of them didn't even know they were gonna die today, or tomorrow. Or maybe that was the part about being human. You never know, it was unexpected so you just lived till you die.

"I noticed you are always watching everyone Violet are you okay?" I looked away from the large window between Jasper and Alice, Bella was in the bathroom, Phoenix was well as you can picture very hot. Humid like. I don't think Jasper's head ever flew up as quickly as it did.

"Oh sometimes my power just acts up, all the little clocks ticking away on their heads." I muttered. Alice tilted her head at me confused like.

"Violet can look at someone and see how long a person is gonna live, basically see everything about them." Jasper explained to her, I nodded with a small chuckle.

"It sort of works with vampires." I explained turning away for a moment, my thoughts were all over the place. When Bella came out it was when another vision hit Alice. I spun around to stand between the two looking down at the drawing.

"Yeah that's a old dance studio I went to as a kid." Bella gestured around a bit, I already knew Alice had saw something, it just brought the question to what the hell it was.

After around an hour Alice and Jasper went out to do something, leaving me to keep watch over everything, Bella thought no one could hear but of course I could from the room, as soon as she was out the room, I used my speed to pin her to the wall by her arms making her yelp staring at me in shock.

"Bella I know you aren't the smartest human in the bunch, and obviously you don't care about your life, but Edward's stupid ass does, This is obviously a trap, your mom isn't in danger, Alice just had a vision about your dance studio and you are going there." I stared at the little red numbers hovering over her.

"Your life numbers keep going up and down. You crazy human." She glared at me smacking my hands away.

"Mom is in trouble Violet.. Let me go you know if Edward were doing it, you wouldn't stop him." I stopped for a moment to think.

"Because Edward isn't that dumb- no I take that back he can be quite dumb." I blinked pulling away from her I smacked my face at the stupidity of humans sighing watching her run out.

"Stupid fucking humans... Guess I have no choice."

Her scent wasn't that hard to track, but I think I was a little too late when I arrived at the dance stupid jumping up to land into the broken window, I sighed loudly jumping down landing on the hard floor using my speed to push James off Bella stepping in the broken life is glasses, pinning him straight to the wall.

"Bella go now!" I ordered out, watching him smirk my way staring at me.

"You are fast like him aren't you." He chuckled darkly at me.

"Well he is my maker, I could kill you right now if I have to." I warned to him, narrowing my eyes at him, he shot his hand out to push me away. It wasn't even the most painful thing I had experience, I shoved him away from me the best I could manage, landing back into the ground, if I was breathing that would have knocked the breath out of me.

It was all happening so extremely fast, I did everything I could to protect Bella, then the next minute Edward was showing up. I rushed over to Bella to apply pressure into her leg that was badly bleeding.

"Don't touch me." She grunted out through her pain. I rolled my eyes a little.

"Yeah yeah, no thank you, or I was right, hold still he bit you." I grumbled a little a couple minutes passed watching the family arrive in short time. Alice, Carlisle and Edward were surrounding us both.

"Thank you Violet." Edward strained out to me, I gave him a soft gentle smile letting my hand go so Alice could wrap the belt around the wound around Bella's thigh. I stared down at my hands a little in shock they were stained with such a dark shade a red. It reminded me when I was first turned. My hands shook a little glancing up to stare at Edward.

"Edward listen to me, you won't hurt her, just suck the venom, okay... You got this." I urged him placing my hand on his shoulder seeing him staring at me with a pained expression before he was nodding his head at me. I stood up to join Emmett, Rosalie and Jasper by the large roaring fire. I felt Jasper wrap his arms around me squeezing me deeply.

"It's gonna be okay." He muttered to me resting his chin on top of my own.

I stared into the flames focused.

"Yeah one day it will be..."
