Hangover

I gripped the blanket tighter, moaning in pain. My body was sore no doubt. I frowned noticing that the sheets were not mine. I looked over to see Jake asleep beside me. I closed my eyes and placed my hand on my head. My head was pounding and I knew it was because I was hungover. Damn, what the hell was I thinking last night? I looked down and gasped when I realized I was naked. Did we really have sex? I gulped when all the events of last night hit me hard. It was true, we had sex. I cursed under my breath and shook my head. How the hell did I let that happen? Why did I let that happen? I could feel the tears blur my vision and that frustrated me more. I took a deep breath and reached for my phone. I had ten missed calls from Hailey. It was nine o'clock and that caused me to jump out of bed. I was late for class and that's the last thing that I needed. I grabbed my bra and put it on quickly. I was glad that my clothes were right where I could see them. I pulled my dress on looked over my shoulder to make sure that he was still sleeping. I didn't want to wake him up because I knew that he would want to talk and I didn't want to. I hurried out of the room and ran down the stairs quickly. My sandals were right by the door and so were my jacket and purse. I grabbed them and looked back at the stairs to make sure that he wasn't following me. I closed my eyes and thanked God. Without a second thought, I opened the door and stepped outside. The sun caused me to hiss in pain because my head was pounding so badly.

I pressed the call button under Hailey's name. She picked up on the second ring and I was grateful for that. "Hey, where are you? We have been looking for you."

I took a deep breath, "I'm sorry. I overslept but I'm on my way to school. I'll be there soon, I promise."

"Class is canceled for the day. Our professor called out due to having the flu. We have a free day today. Do you want to meet up with me and Melina for lunch?"

I was glad to know that class was canceled because I wasn't feeling up to it. "Yes, I'll meet you guys in an hour. How does that sound?"

"Good, see you soon." She hung up the phone and I sighed in relief. Jake didn't live that far from me so I would make it home soon.

As I walked down the street I couldn't stop thinking about last night. The way he fucked me, the way he kissed me, and the way he talked to me. I bit my lip and shook my head staring up at the sky. There was no way that I was going to tell anyone about this. It should have never happened and I hate that it did. I don't know what the hell I was thinking when I left with him.

"It never happened," I mumbled. The faster I forgot about it, the better. Nothing happened, it was just a freak accident that I slept with him. I wouldn't have to see him again anyway so it would be easy.
