"You mean...ask out...Jeff Bezos," Danny asked, pausing for a minute before staring confusedly at his friend. Did Kurtis hear himself? He started to consider the mental state of his roommate, reminding himself to look up the closest therapists later. His friend certainly seemed to be in dire need.

"C'mon don't look at me like that, I know it's lame but just think about it for a minute. You said it yourself, we could do a lot of good with his money," Kurtis said, motioning to his friend.

"What, like a sugar daddy?" Danny sighed and rubbed his eyes. "I'm not really in the mood to put on a maid dress, Kurt-"

"Look," Kurtis said, walking over to his friend. "I've been streaming for just as long as you have, put in just as much work and I've gotten jack shit for it. Jeff has been giving out these partnerships, and you got one. That's gotta mean something, right?" They were both quiet for a moment as Kurtis sat in a chair next to his friend. "We can barely afford to stay here," he stated quietly. "and we'll be evicted before the end of the year if we can't get it together. There are people out there who have even less than that, and if we could use his money for the greater good, shouldn't I- we, I mean, take that opportunity?" Kurtis, of course, only agreed partly with his own statement. After all, he wasn't really sure how he'd be able to help all these unfortunate people he was talking about get out of their situations and was more concerned about how he'd be able to improve his own environment with the profits. But that wouldn't do much good in convincing Dan as the thought of good-will just for the sake of good-will.

Danny looked at his friend with deliberation in his brow. After a few seconds of choking silence, he exhaled. "You know this is the stupidest idea you've ever had, right?"

"...yeah."

He smirked. "And you know we're absolutely doing it, right?"

...

For the next few weeks, the pair took late nights and several cups of coffee in their quest to craft the perfect plan. If they were going to fool a billionaire and rob him, they'd need to be seamless.

The ploy they'd come up with was simple:

First, Danny would do a charity 'thank you' stream on Twitch for the partnership he'd been given. Next, he'd upload it to his YouTube channel and then to Twitter. He was hoping that if he tagged Jeffrey and got his friends to do the same, there would be at least a small chance the rich man would see his expressed gratitude and respond in some way. And if that had somehow worked against the odds, Danny hoped he could get to know the big shot enough to meet irl. The rest would be history.

After getting retweets from Eddy, Gus, Nick, Jarvis, and of course Kurtis (Drew still being situated in Southern Asia and offline for the time being) their plan was looking towards the hopeful success that they had been working towards.

All in all, the process was more fun than Danny thought it would have been. Kurtis had even fashioned an intricate series of red yarn across the apartment living room to and from post it notes on their walls. It looked more like a crime scene than an optimistic scheme on a billionaire.

Kurt was surprised by how easily his friend was convinced to join his plan, but if Danny was being honest with himself, he knew that he was more reserved than his friend. If this went south, they could be on a one lane highway headed straight for disaster- the destruction of their careers, or worse, federal prison. Then again, this was the first thing Kurtis had been excited about in a while, and it was nice to see him out of his room for a change. So, for the sake of his friend's excitement, Dan chose to put it past his better judgment and see where this would lead them. Because, seriously, there was no way it was actually going to work...right?
