My dream last night {On Hold for now}

Chapter 8

Charlie's POV
After we buy the boxes all three of us go back to the car and drive back to Astrids Mom and Dad's house.
After 30 minutes of driving
All three of us get out of the car, get all the boxes out of the car, and walk inside the house. "Lucy, Astrid we're home!" Owen says as the three of us walk inside the house and we walk upstairs "Hey guys" Astrid says as she walks out of her now empty room only her beds in there. The three of us see her things in the hallway I stop where I'm standing and smiling lovingly at her. Her dad and brother walk past me and start making the boxes. Astrid looks at her stuff then she looks for me and sees me staring at her "Oh Charlie my mom would like to talk to you about something in the basement"She says "ok just let me put the boxes here and I'll go see her and come back to help." I say as I walk up to her, put the boxes on the side, and go find her mom.

Astrid's POV
Charlie goes downstairs and Dad, Mark, and I get to work putting all my things into the boxes.

Back to Charlie's POV
I walk downstairs and I walk into the basement and I see Lucy looking at scrapbooks of both her kids. I slowly walk towards her "Hey Lucy Astrid said you wanted to talk to me" I say and she looks up at me "Oh Charlie yes I did I wanted to show you these come"She says and I walk towards her and I see pictures of Astrid as a kid and she looks adorable "Aw she looks so cute" I say with a warm smile "Yes she always knew how to pose for photos" She says as she turns to the next page and we see a photo young Astrid and Owen sleeping in a hospital room and I look at the next picture and I see Lucy holding a baby in her arms "Is this the photo when you had Mark?" I ask she starts to laugh a bit and looks at me "Yes this was when Mark was born"She says as I look at young Astrid and her dad "How old was Astrid when he was born?" I ask she looks at the photo and starts to think "I think she was 9 years old when Mark was born but I have to ask Owen" She says as she closes the scrapbook and sits on the couch and pats next to her for me to sit down. I walk towards her and I sit next to her "Charlie I know you're a nice boy but I want you to promise me something...."She starts and I nod at her to continues "I need you to promise me that you'll keep her safe and to love her no matter what" She says and I look at her "I promise I'll do everything in my power to keep her safe, to make her happy, to be supportive of her, and to... to l-care about her no matter what" I say with a stutter and she looks at me and brings me into a hug. I hug her back 'it kinda reminds me of my hugs with my mom I miss her and my family...Its been kinda weird for me since I moved to Ottawa I've been missing my family maybe when Astrid and I get more serious maybe I could ask her if she'd like to meet my family' I think to myself then I hear "Charlie when you where upstairs were the four of you almost done packing Astrid's thing?" She asks me "Almost but I think they're done let's go check" I say as we both walk upstairs and see them taping the last box "Alright we're done" Astrid says as Owen puts the tape away then Astrid looks back at us and we both wave "Oh hey guys well we're done packing so now we just need to put the boxes in the cars" She says as she grabs a box "Alright let's pack up all the boxes"Lucy says and all five of us pack all the boxes into the cars. After about thirty minutes we finish putting the boxes into the cars then I look at my phone for the time and it's 12:00 pm "Astrid we have to get going..." I say to her and she nods "Ok Mom Dad you three could come over tomorrow and help me settle in if you guys want to come..."She says as she gives both her mom and dad a kind and warm hug. "Ok sweetie we'll see you tomorrow" Her mom says as the three of them slowly get out of their hug and Astrid nods and looks at Mark "Hey Buddy you ok?" she asks him but he just keeps looking down Astrid looks at me then back at Markand kneels down to him "Mark?" she says his name and he looks up and he has tears in his eyes "Hey buddy you'll see me tomorrow and..."She starts then "And if you ever want to come over and have a sleepover you just have to call and ask your parents" I say as I kneel down next to her and Mark looks at me "Really?"He asks us and Astrid and I look at each other "Yes" we both say to him and he smiles and gives us both a big hug. "Ok Mark we have to go but we'll see you tomorrow" Astrid says to him and he nods "Ok meet you at the house"she says to me as she walks backwards to her car and gives me a flirty smile I smile back at her and walk to my car. I get into the car and wave bye to her family as Astrid gets to her car then she waves at them and we both drive back to my, oh I mean our house. After 25 minutes we get back to our house and we both bring all the boxes into the house and put her computer setup into the second guest bedroom and some stuff from her room into our room. After about 10 minutes we finish putting all the boxes in the rooms they need to be in "We're finally done" I say to her as I walk up from behind her and wrap my arms around her and I kiss her cheek and she giggles "Yup I can't believe we're living together" she says as I loosen my hold on her and she turns to face me. "Ya I'm so happy" I say to her as I kiss her passionately then I hear my phone rings.
