It's not Christmas everyday... that's what most people say. Well, I think applicable sa 'kin 'yan ngayon. After days and nights of pure happiness, here I am now, sitting in the middle of our classroom, sad and uninspired. Buti na lang, kahit grumpy mode ako ngayon, my Juan Carlos is still here, holding my hand and asking what's the problem.
Napagalitan kasi ako ni Sir Alcantara kanina. Hindi ko kasi na-perfect ang exam. Feeling niya, nagpapabaya na ako sa studies ko. Inuuna ko pa raw kasi ang Queen Bee duties ko, I told him.
Wag mo nang dibdibin 'yun. Alam mo namang hindi totoo 'yung mga sinabi niya eh. I know that you're working hard to be the consistent top student sa campus, and you can't be perfect all the time," Juan Carlos firmly said.
Yes, Juan Carlo's right. I can't be perfect all the time. Kahit Queen Bee at consistent top student, I should also make room for mistakes, so that I would learn. But still, sad pa rin ako. Maybe it's just the mood, or the weather. I don't know.
Smile ka na. Huwag ka nang malungkot," Juan Carlos smiled at me.
I can feel Juan Carlo’s efforts naman, lalo na nu’ng nagsimula siyang mag-perform ng magic trick. Akala ko nga, I would be bored, ‘cause I always thought that magic tricks are just for kids. But hell no! When he plucked a white rose from my soft and wavy hair, I was truly amazed.
But wait… there’s more! May kinuha rin si Juan Carlos sa sleeves niya, at bigla na lang, may lumabas na mahabang papel which reads “Cheer up!”
Awww. That’s the sweetest message ever. I can’t help but smile.
You really add magic to my life, Juan Carlos,” I told him.
Hindi ako magsasawang gawin ‘yan nang paulit-ulit… mapasaya ka lang,” he said.
He really made my day. We hugged each other, promising that we would be together in times of sadness and joy. Happiness mode: ON!
