Mary opened her eyes and slowly sat down. She can smell the scent of the hospital and as her vision becomes clear, she saw Ririka was sitting next to her bed

"Hey princess..." Mary smiled

Ririka instantly pulled her into a hug and cried "You stupid! Why you keep this thing a secret?!"

"I'm sorry... Mary stroked the other girl's hair "I just don't want to make you worry"

"If you don't want me to worry then you should tell me!" Ririka broke the hug and trying to stop herself from crying

"Shh... No more tears, I promise I will tell you everything next time okay?" Mary persuaded

"Promise?"

"With all of my heart" Mary's cold hand touched the platinum hair girl's face and wiped her tears

"Sorry to interrupt-" Sachiko clearing her throat and walked in "We need to talk. This is about life or death! Listen, your condition has become worse than before, the tumor cells have grown bigger, and the only way to save you right now is by doing an operation!"

"I don't want to"

Ririka immediately slapped Mary's lap and giving her the scary stared "Stop acting foolish! Just do the operation!" She grabbed her wife's hand and hold it tightly

"But I don't deserve to live-" Mary sighed"O-ouch-!"

Ririka pinched her "You deserve to live! You deserve love and I love you. Don't lose your hope, this is not you that I know"

"But-"

"I will pay how much money you want, just do the operation as fast as you can!" Ririka said to Sachiko, ignoring Mary's opinion

"The operation was scheduled tomorrow no matter how much money you give me but we still need the agreement from the person itself" Sachiko explained

Ririka looked to Mary, her eyes were watery and her lips were in sync the word 'please'

"Okay, I'll do it!" Mary faces defeat, she can't let her lover down ever again

"Hospital's food taste bad ugh-" Mary pushed Ririka that was about to bribe her gently "Can I have chicken nuggets?"

"No! Sachiko said you can only eat soup before the operation" Ririka insisted

"Okay but let me eat you next time" Mary grinned

"You perv-" Ririka's face turned red

"Riri... Can you do me a favor?"

"Mm?"

"Put the bowl down and come to me-" Mary opened her hands widely

Ririka nodded. She climbed to the bed and started cuddling with Mary

"Don't go anywhere, you're my prisoner tonight" Mary whispered, and the other girl giggled "I want to give you this" She took out a small letter from her pocket

The paper changing to Ririka's hand "Open this if I lose my fight?" The blue eyes girl confused

"The operation might fail and I will die but at least I know my final words will reach you. You can throw it away if I win okay?" Mary chuckled

"You going to win... Trust me" Ririka grabbed Mary's chin and gave her a kiss

Time skip, 3 days later

The operation to remove the tumor cells went smoothly but the blonde girl was still in her coma. Sachiko said it might long last for a week so Ririka don't have to worry about it

Ririka was placing new flowers on the vase when suddenly Mary was struck with seizures. The red siren on the room wailed and Sachiko with the other nurses ran into the ward

"W-what is happening?!" Ririka panicked

"You have to leave right now!" Sachiko pushed her outside

The door closed and it continued for 1 hour. Ririka can feel something was not right when the ash-blonde woman comes out with a disappointed look

"I'm sorry... I have tried my best but her heart has stopped beating" Sachiko bit her lip

Hearing those words making Ririka fall to the floor. She cried loudly, not even care if someone was starring at her. All she knows right now is she just lose the person that she loved the most

She took out the small letter from her pocket that she planned to throw away

"Open this if I lose my fight..." Ririka flipped through the letter

"Hey, so I lose my fight huh? I'm sorry. Please don't be mad haha. Come on cheer up. I will always be in your heart. I will be looking after you from the clouds above. Keep on living okay?"

"You dumb! How can I continue living without you?!" Ririka shouted
