"Sonic I'm going to make a distraction and you run as fast as you can past everyone out there, if you don't run the fastest possible they will see you and know we were doing something in here ok?" Sonic nodded in approval and his heart beat like crazy.
Shadow nodded in approval as he went to open the door. As the latch was opening Sonic got ready to make a run for it. People's faces began to be seen and Shadow started to talk. Sonic took off as soon as there was a big enough gap in the door.
"Sorry guys I fell asleep in here and got distracted and-" Shadow continued on and scratched his head and yawned to make it believable as a gust of wind passed everyone in line. Sonic made it to safety behind a car park and stopped. He leaned over and put his hands on his knees breathing heavily. Not long after Shadow followed and pat him on the back.
"That was close hey?"
"Tell me about it, were they mad?"
"Yeah but I think they were understanding in the end,"
Sonic and Shadow both laughed until their stomach hurt and looked at each other. With a tear of laughter in his eye Sonic smiled and Shadow wiped it away before grabbing his head and bringing it closer to his. Sonic closed his eyes as Shadow kissed him while smiling in between.
