(Lightning and Wallace saw it was Chick Hicks)

Chick Hicks: (on TV) Chick Hicks here coming to you live from Chick Hicks studios where i'm joined once again by next-gen racing expert, Natalie Certain.

Natalie Certain: (on TV) thanks Chick, Piston Cup champions Jackson Storm and Amy Watson set new records today when they pulled off the fastest lap ever recorded an unprecedented 213 miles an hour.

Chicks Hicks: So what do you think Certain? Stormy boy and Watson gonna start the the season with another win?

Oh, and in case you missed it, talk of the track tonight is Lightning McQueen, Pepe, Penelope, Fifi and The Dalmatian Squad finding YET another way to embarrass themselfs at a demolition derby. [We cut to Sterling]

Sterling: Everyone relax. The 95's gonna race. Lightning and The Squad is just taking a somewhat approach to this race is all. It's one of their things their fans love about them.

Chick: Yeah, right. Talk about humiliating, if I was old Kachow or that human kid, I wouldn't even bother showing up in Florida.

Natalie: That could be for the best Chick. Even if they do race, McQueen and Wallace's ability of winning is: 1.2%

Natalie: Numbers never lie. I'm willing to predict tonight, that Lightning McQueen and Wallace's racing career will be over in a week. It might even be over now.

[McQueen turns off the TV before he could say anything else]

*Meanwhile*

Mater: [singing] ♪ First you find a clamp from a rusty vamp bump bump quicker than a dart make it in the park bump bump that's the way it's done it ain't 'bout the fun bump bump lifting my funk making sculptures out of junk ♪

[Mater heard someone calling him on his smartphone as his sculpture falls]

Mater: What's it? There we go, somebody's interrupting genius.

[Mater answers his Facetime and saw McQueen and Wallace]

Mater: Well, hey there buddies.

Lightning McQueen & Walace: Mater!

Mater: You know I was just thinking of you 2 and here you 2 are looking right at me. You see me okay? Wait a second, let me see here. Is that better?

Lightning McQueen: Looking you straight in the eye there pal. Hey, sorry about calling so late.

Mater: Not for me it's not. I'm always burning that midnight oil. So get me caught up on everything.

Wallace: Well, actually we are kind hope we might hear what's going on back home.

Mater: Well, not much but if you don't count Sergeant Fillmore trying to run the tire shop but tell Luigi not to worry Sergeant's gonna track down every last tired it fell more done gived away other than that everything's good.

Wallace: how is Sally?

Mater: Oh she's fine, keepin busy at the cone. She misses you 2. Well shoot, we all do when you all on the road.

Lightning McQueen: Yeah you know, we've been kind of thinking about that. You know what we should do when we're not on the road anymore.

Mater: What do you mean "not on the road"?

Wallace: Well... you know... Mater, we can't do this forever.

Lightning McQueen: That's just it, Mater, we don't know... and feel like we're all out of ideas.

Mater: [talking to Lightning andWallace on his smartphone] Hmm... Alright, let me think. Oh. You know what I'd do?

Pepe: What?[Pauses]

Mater: ... I dunno. I got nothin'. I guess ain't Doc. Well, expect for, maybe, whoever taught him.

Lucky: We would give anything to talk to him right now.

Mater: Yep, there was nobody smarter than old Doc. Well, except for, maybe, whoever taught him.

Lightning McQueen: Yeah... Wait, what.

Mater: I mean, everybody was taught by somebody, right? Take my cousin, Oil. He taught me how to sing and whistle at the same time, he was very musical that way.

Wallace: Smokey?[gains hope]

Lightning McQueen: Mater, you're brilliant.

Mater: Ah, well, ha-ha, it's all about the shape of your teeth.

Lightning McQueen: We get to go to Thomasville!
