Lana and i walked down the stairs and to the main hall located in the pack house '' you ready? '' my sister asks as she turns to me '' 100% '' right now we standing outside the door to the hall and you could hear the soft music and the chatter on the other side of the door .
The guards opened the door and we stepped in
The place looked amazing there were three long tables placed against the wall one had delicious food the other had all kinds of drinks mainly alcohol and the last table had all kinds of desserts , i was literally drooling over the food but quickly composed myself .
I walked further into the room admiring the decor '' happy birthday '' someone said from behind me i turned to see a man who looked to be in his early twenties ,blonde hair blue eyes and was well built ,he wore a white shirt with a royal blue tux ,in all he looked really good ,'' like what you see?'' he asks with a smirk ,i should've known he was the arrogant type '' and who and you are?'' i retort with a tight lipped smile ,'' well beautiful I'm Christopher '' i know this guy he's the alpha of the Lake Waters Pack but just to take his arrogance down i nach i act completely clueless '' I'm so sorry but I've never heard of you '' i smile innocently and bat my eyelashes to add effect ,and just like that he's face falls and he frowns and that's how to bring an alphas arrogance down .
After a few moments of shock he quickly fixes himself and says '' I'm Alpha of the Lake Waters Pack ,surely you've heard of it '' i pretend to think for some time '' oh I've heard of the amazing Alpha Christopher '' relief is clear on his face , he then extends his hand '' may i offer you a drink '' this guy is not leaving alone anytime soon so best to play along ,i take his hand and he leads me to the drinks table he takes two cups of punch and hands me one which i kindly decline and take a glass of whiskey '' i prefer the stronger drinks '' i say as i gulp it all down his jaw dropped to the ground and shock was all over his face ,wow this guy does not know how to hide his shock pathetic , '' see you around '' i say as i pat his shoulder and walk away leaving him still in shock i couldn't stops laughing .
As i moved further towards the centre of the hall i spotted my father speaking to a few alphas ,i waited patiently for him to finish before making my way to him '' how are you liking the party? '' my dad asks '' its really great thanks so much dad '' i say as i give him a hug , '' the orchestra just told me that our father daughter dance is next '' my dad and i have been practising for a while now , this is a very important dance its part of our family tradition .
Just on cue the orchestra began playing the song and the people parted and my father took hold of my hand and we danced the waltz . At the end of the song i bowed in respect and the crowd clapped their hands and the chatter resumed , as i was talking to my father Luna Barbara and Alpha Edward approached us '' happy birthday dear , you're now a full grown lady '' Luna Barbara said with a sweet smile on her face
'' thank you Luna '' i said with a sweet smile of my own , '' you must be very proud of your daughter Archer '' Alpha Edward said '' i really am proud of her and also her sister '' my dad beamed with pride as those words left his mouth .
As i excused myself from the three an uneasy feeling settled at the pit of my stomach and my wolf Nala was on edge clawing and howling at the back of my mind , i wonder whats wrong , '' Hazel you OK? '' Lana asked worry evident on her features '' yeah I'm good don't worry about it '' i said and smiled to 'show' her I'm OK .
Then an amazing scent engulfed me it was a mixture of rain and greenery like the forest , my wolf was content '' do you smell that? '' i asked Lana '' no , what is it ''
'' I cant explain it but--- '' and just then the doors to the hall opened and everyone fell silent , in walked Alpha Derrick with who i assumed is his Gamma who i don't know .
A few Alphas and Luna's bowed their heads but i stood still unable to keep my eyes off Alpha Derrick he's raven black hair was styled to perfection he wore a black tux which brought out his light brown eyes which i was drawn to , guessing he could feel my gaze on him he looked my way and the world around us came to a stop we just stared at one another then my wolf said something i couldnt believe
