Derrick POV:

'' Hey babe '' my girlfriend Sarina said as she entered my office ,'' Hey babe ''
'' Why are you still here ,you supposed to be ready by now ,do you want to make us late? '' she asked with an arched eyebrow ,i seriously don't know what she's talking about late for what .'' What are you talking about babe ,late for what? ''

After i was done saying that her eyes grew as wide as saucers ,am i missing something ,'' You forgot? ,today is Alpha Archers daughters birthday!! '' so thats what i was forgetting ,but why make a big deal out of it shes just turning eighteen we have all been there ,'' And whats so important about Alpha Archers daughter? '' i asked as i made my way around my desk to hug her .

'' Ohh my goddess!! she is going to be the first female alpha ,where the hell have you been!!! '' she practically screamed that last part at me and my wolf Venus was not happy with the level of disrespect she was giving us  ,i let out a low but deadly growl and she instantly bowed her head in submission '' Sorry Alpha '' she said barely above a whisper .

'' Go get changed i'll be with you in a minute '' i told her as she left my office , agh i'm now forced to meet up with people and pretend like i care .But in all honesty i've been meaning to see Alpha Archers daughter so i know what i'm dealing with ,since she will become the first female alpha the council has decided that she should come train at my pack since we are the strongest in America ,sort of like an initiation to test if she is capable of the alpha position .If you ask me i think this is all stupid and a waste of time ,how can a she-wolf be capable of running a whole pack on her own as alpha .

I left my office and made my way to my bedroom which i share with Sarina ,she's not my mate but i still love her and if i find my mate i will reject her for Sarina .

'' Babe you done? '' i ask as i enter the room and lay on the bed '' yeah what do you think? '' she ask as she exits the bathroom wearing a beautiful mid thigh dark blue dress that hugged her body showing off all the things i like '' beautiful...just beautiful '' i say as i walk up to her and capture her lips in mine .

'' Let me go shower so we can head out '' i say as i make my way to the bathroom .

still Derrick's POV

I'm driving with Sarina and my beta Alex ,we just made it to the border of the Moon Shadow Pack and we are two hours late amazing but i kind off wanted us to arrive late just so we have a grand entrance .

'' We have finally arrived alpha '' my beta Alex tells me from the drivers seat ,'' finally ,i hate being cooped up in a car for so long '' Sarina complains beside me ,we are seated at the back seat .

We parked the car and made our way into the pack house ,a few warriors escorted us to the main hall where the party was held ,the minute the doors opened everyone in the hall came to a stop and a few Luna's bowed their heads in submission then i saw it...

Well rather her.....(A/N not the singer if your wondering)

She stood there in all her beauty

My wolf Venus said something i didn't expect to hear

MATE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Are you sure?i asked him
Yes i'm sure!!he yelled back
but whyyyyyyyyyy

Then Sarina walked in behind me and kissed me in front of her ,then i saw hurt flash through her eyes ,she whispered something to the lady next to her then she fled the hall ,she ran out the door .

I later decided to follow her scent till i found her sitting on the floor in an empty hallway crying ,i slowly walked up to her she stands up at my arrival

''C-can i help you? '' she sounded so broken and to think i caused all this pain hurts me but i had to stay strong think of Sarina ,'' whats your name? '' i asked her '' when you came here whose party did you think you were coming to? '' she asked with an arched eyebrow

I didn't like the disrespect she was giving me and out of anger i grabbed her by the throat and pinned her to the wall '' You better watch your tone little mate '' i warned .Fear was evident in her eyes

'' Uh...I-I...S-sorry '' she stuttered ,that will teach her not to mess with me '' now where did all that confidence go?'' i asked sarcastically ,i liked toying with her then i remembered what i came out here to do

'' I Derrick Black reject you Hazel Jackson as my mate ''
yes i knew her name i was just trying to make conversation .As those words left my mouth all the colour from her face drained .

Yay another chapter down :) i'm so proud of myself for pushing through anywho Derricks POV finally took me forever to write this .I didn't know what to say as i'm not used to writing male POV's and i don't know what goes on in their heads .Another thing in this chapter Derrick mentioned Hazel not being fit for the role as alpha because she is a female i just want to let you know that i'm all for woman empowerment and believe that woman are more that capable for any male role :) OK hope you enjoyed this chapter see you in the next chapter ;)
