This cannot be happening!!!! Alpha Derrick cannot be my mate
We were still stuck in this trance .....just staring at each other then in walked a she-wolf and linked her arms in his then the unexpected happened , he kissed her

' How could he kiss her , he's our mate ' Nala asked sadness laced her words
I can't believe he just did that...right in front of me
to say i was hurt is an understatement of the century
I just couldn't take it '' Hazel are you OK? '' Lana asked as she took in my shocked and hurt expression , at this point tears were threatening to escape '' uh....I-I....h-he....k-kissed her and....i-i'm....m-mate '' and with that i took off ,running in the direction of the hall doors then an arm took hold of me '' hey Hazel you OK? '' Christopher asks as he assesses the state i'm in
'' What?...uhm i mean yes...yes i just need some air '' i said adding a shaky smile to look convincing , after what felt like forever he reluctantly let go of my arm and i fled but not before bumping shoulders with Alpha Derrick and electricity shot up my arm and spread all over my body .
Once in the hallway i made sure to be far away from everyone before i slid down the wall and just broke down
I cried
For the first time in years i cried
I cried over the lose of my mother , i cried because my mate is Alpha Derrick , i cried because he is in love with someone else but most importantly i cried cause even after knowing i'm his mate he went to kiss another she-wolf right in front of me .
' Don't cry ,you have to be strong and i'm here for you we will get through this together ' Nala told me ,even though she put on a tough guy act i could still sense her sadness she was also hurt by what 'he' did .
I was so caught up in my thoughts that i didn't notice the person standing in front of me ,sensing the power radiating of him i looked up only to be met by light brown orbs which i once adored but now felt nothing more that pain .
I quickly got on my feet '' C-can i help you '' my voice coming out weaker than i wanted , '' Whats you name? '' he asked in a deep charming voice ' Don't fall for him ' 'Relax i won't I'm too angry to do so ' i reassured Nala who was growling at him '' When you came here whose party did you think you were coming to? '' i asked with an arched eyebrow ,and what happened next was all a blur ,i found myself pinned to the wall and strong arms placed firmly round my neck .
'' You better watch your tone little mate '' he roared in my face (A.N sorry didn't know what to say) i was beyond shocked
'' Uh...I-I...s-sorry '' i stuttered over my words '' Now where did all that confidence go? '' he asked while smirking sarcasm clear as daylight ,but what came next was the real shock .
'' I Derrick Black reject you Hazel Jackson as my mate ''
