There was no way Jason expected that the school, from the insider , would look like a friendly environment. He scanned the quad entrance and decided to take a couple steps up to the nearest bench. He finished his last step and turned to sit at the edge of the dirty seat that was now under him. He pulled out his classroom schedule an read over the first couple classes.

First was Health, then PE, Biology, Mandarin, Geometry, and finally English. The classes didn't seem to sound scary so... wait...what? Mandarin?

"Why in all of the world would my mom sign me up for Mandarin?" It doesn't look fun but just random lines in an enclosed space!

After thinking about what Mandarin would be like, he slipped the piece of paper back into his back pocket. Jason lifts up his left arm and twists it so he can view the plastic watch that revealed the time. It read 7:30. I have half an hour to view this crummy school. Might as well start, he thinks to himself.
