"You're awake." He straightened up and raised his arms above his head to stretch, sore from sleeping in a chair. When he moved his chair closer to you, he noticed the empty cup and the small puddle of water on the floor.
"Sorry," you apologized. "I was trying to reach the water but it fell."
Namjoon smiled softly. "I'll get you another one."
He stood up, walking over to the sink and filling up a new cup. "How does your arm feel?"
You took the glass from him and took a few gulps before replying. "A little sore, but it doesn't feel as bad as I thought it would."
"The doctor has you on some pain medication. Let me know if it starts hurting again. We'll get you some more."
"Is it broken?"
Namjoon shook his head. "It's a nasty fracture, but it's not broken."
"Where's Jimin and the other boys?"
"I'm surprised they're not back yet. They went to get food a little bit ago. We've all been taking turns sitting with you."
You nodded, taking another sip of water.
"You really scared me," Namjoon said, breaking the silence. "When we couldn't find you anywhere. I was so panicked. As the hours ticked by, I kept thinking you had gotten hurt. I kept telling myself, 'they'd be back by now. As angry as they were, they would've come back by now.' And then we found you lying on the ground next to the overturned ATV..."
He trailed off. He ran a hand through his hair and took a deep breath. His eyes glistened. "I'm just glad you're okay now."
"Thank you for coming to find me." You pulled him in for a hug. "How did you know where I'd be?"
"Huh? Oh we searched all the main paths but didn't find you. When it got dark I followed the moon, I had a feeling you'd head in that direction if you were lost."
You smiled, thinking about the moon.
The nurse came in and checked your vitals. The boys came back with food, not long after the nurse left. They surrounded you, asking a million questions and only backed off when the doctor came in.
She looked over your chart. "Everything looks good. You were a bit dehydrated when you came in, but the fluids have helped. You should be discharged in a few hours. We're just waiting on one test to come back."
"Thank you."
"Just make sure to rest when you get home. And no heavy lifting for the next few months while it heals. Although it looks like you have a whole army of helpers, so that shouldn't be a problem." The doctor smiled as she looked over at all of the boys seated around you.
---
You flipped through the channels on the tv. A knock sounded on the door. The boys were out looking for dinner and Jimin was filling out paperwork so that you could leave the hospital soon. So when you looked over, you assumed it would be another nurse.
Instead, Jin hovered by the door, seemingly debating whether or not he wanted to come in. He took a deep breath before walking in. He stopped just before the foot of your bed.
"I'm really sorry Y/N," Jin started.
You didn't know what to say, so you let him continue.
"I was so stupid. I really like you and I know I screwed it all up. At first I thought we were just having fun being flirty and that it wasn't serious. But then you and Namjoon got really close. I got scared that you'd pick him over me, so I made the choice for you."
"You could've talked to me."
"I know. Well I know that now. I wasn't thinking straight then. Again, I'm really sorry."
"I forgive you."
His eyes sparkled with hope.
"But I haven't forgotten how you made me feel. And I don't think I will for a little while."
"Ah. Right... I understand."
"So friends?"
He nodded, smiling softly. "Friends."
