"ughhh, just one more class until we can go to hero studies." denki groaned, arms high above his head as he stretched. midoriya grimaced at the pop that sounded from electric blond's spine, echoing in the room.

"what's today's, um...thingy? y'know...thing? like, activity?" mina asked, her pink ruffles bouncing.

todoroki piped up. "we're dueling in a cramp space to practice our ability to fight while upholding minimal damage to our surrondings."

"you talk like a manual, bro!" kirishima shouted, fists tight. "so manly..."

"um, guys?" denki squeaked. "m-my back...is stuck."

jiro bursted out peels of laughter, her purple hair brushing her cheeks. "what are you!? like, 80?" she teased, no sign of concern.

"this is of upmost danger! denki-san, is it painful!? must you see recovery girl!?" iida gushed, stiff arms waving in the air.

"ya just gotta fix it like this!" bakugo yelled, raising his leg into the air, hovering over denki's back.

"shit! ow!" denki cried as his foot pounded on his back, no remorse in his movement. "stop, stop! you're gonna break me!"

"poke," ochaco chirped, tapping bakugo's shoulder.

"h-hey! put me down, bastard!" bakugo bellowed, arms punching the air as he floated near the ceiling.

"okay!" she smiled warmly, pressing her fingertips together. bakugo dropped on denki's desk (that poor desk) with a shout.

the large door to the room slowly opened, and bakugo scrambled off the desk with zero grace. everyone slipped back into their chairs with pale faces, eyes finding their gloomy teacher enter the room.

"class," he greeted, voice low and expectant. "as you know, hero studies launch today. i expect everybody to be in their costumes and at Ground Beta in ten." he stood.

"well? what are you waiting for? go."

"daisuke! have you seen my pen!? i can't find it anywhere!" bokuto whined, hands scurrying around his bag.

"no, bro. do you not have any others?" daisuke, his classmate, shook his head, eyes covered in a veil of annoyance.

"i do! but i can't use them! i need my math pen! i only use that one for math." bokuto wailed, opening up another zipper.

"weird-o." daisuke muttered, turning in his seat.

bokuto jutted his lip out into a sad pout. why couldn't anybody understand him? they never took the time to, and if they would, then they wouldn't think he's so strange! bokuto...well, he's just bokuto! why couldn't anybody just accept that?

the door slid open in a rush, wood banging as it hit the wall.

"bokuto-san!"

well, there was one person.

"you left my pen at my house yesterday! i was gonna give it to you before you left, but i forgot..." akaashi rambled, red pen sticking out of his tight fist. his face was flustered with a shine of sweat, eyes nervous and frantic.

"aghaashi!" bokuto smiled, arms opening to hold his kohai. "did you run all the way across the school to get me this?!"

akaashi nodded into bokuto's shoulder, arms hovering over his sides awkwardly.

"aghaaaashi!" bokuto pouted, drawing away from the setter. "you're gonna be late for class now!"

akaashi shrugged. "you would've lacked the notes for studying if i hadn't. i think there're more cons extractable from getting you your pen than being a few minutes late to class."

bokuto smiled, bright, wide and beautifully, fondly holding akaashi's hand that gripped the red pen. and it clicked in his mind as his golden eyes melted into teal ones, so loud bokuto would be surprised if the window panes hadn't shook.

he was in love with akaashi.

POOF!

"what the hell!?" daisuke scrambled out of his seat, other students eyes wide.

"holy shit!" hana, another classmate, bellowed.

"did they just..." konoha started, voice edging despair. "...disappear!?"
