"sensei! we're telling you! they just...disappeared!" hana yelled, exasperated.
"i'm sorry, but i can't believe that they just disappeared." the teacher shook her head.
konoha groaned. "look, ya got everybody in this classroom telling you that they 'poofed,' you got the bystanders in the hall telling you they 'poofed,' and even another teacher telling you that they 'poofed'! what else are we supposed to tell you?"
"konoha-kun, try standing in my shoes," she sighed. "you walk in, you're told by a bunch of seniors that two students 'poofed', and everyone's in on it! it sounds like a senior prank, kiddo."
everybody groaned.
"well that other teacher sure wouldn't participate in a senior prank!" another student yelled.
"yeah!" another agreed. "some of us are even cryin', y'know! it wouldn't be a very fun senior prank."
the teacher sighed again. "look, let's say they did disappear. what am i supposed to tell the principle? their parents? the police? what would we say in court?"
"that they 'poofed'!" everybody yelled.
"okay!" she laughed. "you guys will report this to the police. if a missing persons report is filed, then i'll take you seriously. tell them exactly what happened, no details missing. see if they believe you."
"look!" daisuke gasped. "the security camera at the end of the hall! they were in the doorway, so it should've caught 'em 'poofing'!"
a buzz of chat erupted from the students and the teacher paled, realizing that this could be real.
"konoha-kun, you knew the both of them, right?" the teacher asked, sitting in her chair and sending him an annoyed glare. he nodded vigorously. "then go to the principals office, request the tape, and watch it. if it's true, we'll go to the police, send in the tape, and continue like normal."
konoha paced out of his seat and nodded again, a bundle of concern bubbling up in his chest.
that was real...they really did just...disappear.

"and who are you?" aizawa asked, voice gruff with suspicion.
"a-a...akaashi keiji, and this— this is bokuto koutarou." akaashi said, his voice muffled in bokuto's chest.
"where did you come from?" aizawa asked again, loosening his stance and softening his voice.
"i-i was just a-at school...and we— i know it sounds r-ridiculous...b-but we just...teleported here."
aizawa paused. "it doesn't sound like you're from any organization, but we're going to keep you restricted anyways. we can't risk an attack."
"organization?" akaashi questioned.
"you landed at ua, and i'm sure you've seen the news. we've been getting a lot of attacks from villians." aizawa scoffed.
akaashi paled under the scarf, heart thumping in his chest. villians? ua? attacks? are these guys crazy? questions nearly fell from the tip of his tongue but he bit the inside of his cheek. right now, what situation they were in or whatever scene they found themselves at didn't matter. right now, all that mattered was bokuto's well-being.
that's right.
"we— we need a doctor," akaashi said, his breath quickening. "bo-bokuto-san's leg—" akaashi gasped, feeling panic tease him under his skin. his hands shook violently as he grasped bokuto's jacket. he hated the feeling of anxiety rushing through his limbs, leaving his skin cold and heart hammering.
