"Wakey, wakey Alexandra," called Anya to the sleeping form of Lexa. Lexa peeled her sleep-filled eyes open to glare at Anya who was standing next to her bed. Lexa rolled over away from Anya and shut her eyes again.

"I thought I told you not to call me that, Anya," Lexa spoke, her voice thick and heavy with sleep. After a few seconds, Lexa could hear Anya's footsteps turn and retreat, shortly after Lexa's breathing evened out, and sleep once again greeted her.

"Holy blackblood!" Lexa shot up her voice no longer raspy and thick with sleep, but instead shrill with surprise. Lexa sat on her now soaking bed, her brown hair saturated and stuck to her face. She pushed strands of hair from her eyes with the back of her wet hand. She glared daggers at Anya who just so happened to be holding a now-empty bucket. "What was that for?!" She exclaimed.

Anya, her face stoic and free of any trace of culpability, calmly responded to Lexa, "Well you didn't wake up."

Lexa's eyes were wild, and her expression reflected that of betrayal, "that doesn't mean you can just waterboard me now does it?!"

Anya crossed her arms and rested her chin on her hand as if thinking, "Ah but it doesn't mean I can't."

At this Lexa just sighed and merely smiled, giving in to Anya's weird. Yes, definitely a weird sense of humour.

Anya tossed some clothes at Lexa, "Hurry up and get dressed, we've got things to do."

"Fine, fine," Lexa pushed back her furs and swung her legs off the side of her bed, gathering the clothes that Anya had thrown and making her way over to the bathroom. Once in the bathroom, Lexa called out to Anya, "Where is everybody else? I thought they got today off."

Anya sat down on a chair near the fireplace and raised her voice so Lexa could hear, "They do have today off, but the Commander wanted to go spend some time with them, so whilst I take you for our lesson she is taking them to the markets."

"Huh. That's cool!" Lexa called her voice ringing throughout the novitiate chambers.

Anya inhaled before speaking, "Speaking of the Commander, she told me that you pulled a prank on Titus last night."

Lexa stuck her head out from the bathroom, a guilty smile plastered on her face. After making eye contact with Anya she ducked back into the bathroom.

Anya smiled at Lexa's smile and scoffed before she called out again. "He deserved it if I'm to be frank. Not a very nice fellow, about time someone put him in his place. Did I ever tell you what he did to me the night I brought you here?" The silence was all Anya heard from the bathroom, so she continued. "That egg-headed snake of a man cornered me after Gideon and Luna took you to the novitiate chambers. He started rambling about how it would be best if I left the Commander and you alone. I just laughed in his face and pushed past him; I mean what gives him the right to tell me how I should spend my life!" Anya huffed in annoyance and Lexa now dressed and ready, entered the room.

Lexa stared at Anya with her eyebrows furrowed.

"What's that look for?" Anya asked.

"Is there something going on between you and the Commander?" at this Anya's eyes widened and Lexa continued to prod her with assumptions. "Now that I think about it you do spend an awful lot of time with her, and why would Titus tell you to stay away from the Commander, unless..." Lexa moved to sit next to Anya, turning her body to stare at Anya, "Unless he knew that there was something going on between you two. How long have you two been a thing?" Lexa had a massive smile on her face and it only got larger from looking at Anya's now red face.
