Damon and Elijah

Background information:

Human AU. Damon, Klaus' friend since high school and they work together in klaus' family business. They are 23 for the purpose of this story. Stef is in college/university about 18/19 and Elijah is about 25.

Elijah groaned in annoyance for what was 100% the millionth time. He stopped ... again ... annoyed, waiting for Damon to catch up. Why was he doing this again? Right as a favour for his brother. Klaus owed him one. Why the hell was Damon here though? Oh right because Klaus and Damon are best friends so he's doing it as a favour for Klaus. It's ok. I mean it's not like Elijah has a huge massive crush on Damon and has been falling for him since the first time he came home with Klaus and it's not like Klaus knows and did it on purpose. It's not like Elijah lost all self respect and caved to let Damon come the minute he asked to come along. Elijah glared at nothing in particular. Finally Damon decided it was time to catch up.

"What you staring at, you look super hot when your concentrating"

Damon smirked, Elijah pretended he wasn't heated and flustered but rather annoyed

"Don't do that"

Damon sighed in disappointment, he had been dropping hints to Elijah for a really long time, he'd been attracted to him since he first saw him, he had a crush on his best friend's older brother, and his best friend knew. So Klaus knew his brother and best friend had a huge crush on each other but they weren't going to do anything about it so he had to handle it, hence the fake trip.

"Where are we going?"

Damon asked

"It's the next office over."

He bit his lip complaining

"Ugh we have to do that today?"

Damon whined, Elijah pressed his lips together wanting to tell him he looks cute but refrained

"If you hadn't stopped for every 'unique' food truck we would have been done and dusted."

Elijah quipped, Damon dragged his feet forward, Elijah looked at his face, he started laughing.

"What?"

Damon asked, Elijah pointed to the side of his face

"You got a, you have a little something there."

Damon started to wipe around his mouth.

"On the other side."

Damon moved to the other side. He kept missing where the sauce was. Elijah walked closer to him to help him

"It's there on the side."

Damon looked at Elijah, trying to find it.

"Can you just-"

"Do you want me to-"

They began at the same time. Damon just nodded. Elijah slowly made his way closer to him. Damon breath hitched. Elijah brought his thumb up to his face, they were looking into each other's eyes, he dragged his thumb across the corner of his lip, Damon's mouth parted. Elijah coughed and pulled back, smiling tightly

"Done."

Damon grabbed his fist, he brought Elijah's thumb up to his mouth, looking up at him, he did nothing to stop him. Damon licked the sauce off of his thumb, Elijah raised his eyebrows. This time Elijah actually pulled away and started walking. Damon followed in confusion. They walked in silence. They got to the place Klaus wanted them to meet someone.
