Ayato's P.O.V

"We're home.." I said while opening the door.

"Welcome back." said Akane from the kitchen. "Ayato, can you lend me a hand?"

"For what?" I said while taking off my right shoe

I walked into the kitchen to see a lot of food on the table. Like, a lot.

"Akane.."

"Hm? What is it?"

"You're going a bit overboard, don't you think?"

"Of course not!"

"There's gonna be so much leftover.. How are we gonna finish that?"

"They can take home whatever they want."

Ugh.. Akane's optimism never cease to surprise me..

We're total opposites man, I'm more pessimistic and Akane's more optimistic. How are we even related?

"Did you need help with something?"

"Oh, I already did it myself."

Then why did you call me?

"So, how did it go?" said Akane with a smirk on her face

"Normal, I guess." I said while putting down the ecchi manga.

"What is this?"

"Some hentai doujin thing. I'm no expert so don't ask me." 

I took off my jacket and hung it in the closet.

"Is it..?"

"The present, yeah."

"I never knew you had friends like this.."

"Neither did I."

I noticed Akane, from the corner of my eye, turn her direction facing Kei.

And Kei, standing a little bit away from the front door, was holding a teddy bear plushie, which was half of her own body size. 

Suddenly, I heard a metal spatula hit the floor, causing a loud sound traveling across the house.

"Akane, what the he-"

"Oh my god!"

And before I knew it, Akane was already hugging Kei super tightly, while rubbing her cheeks against her skin.

"Kei-chan you look adorable!"

"A-Akane-san.. I can't breath.."

This is so embarrasing..

I can't help but put a disgusted look on my face.

An 18 year old cuddling with a soon-to-be highschooler.

Strange..

But come to think of it..

When did Akane have the time to set up all these decorations?

I didn't notice it at first,

Cause my attention was drawn by the quantity of food.

But man, 

It did give off a lot of Christmas vibes.

"Do you need me to do anything?" I said while facing towards Akane.

She finally seemed to calm down, by letting Kei go.

"Not at the moment, no."

"S-Shiro, where should I put.."
