Day 1

It all started when Matthew and his parents moved from Ohio to California. Matthew's father was offered a high-paying job in the state after some dear friend of his who has close contacts from people at some well-known company got in touch and said that his current boss was interested in what he supposedly could do after being told about him.

This caused Matthew to move to a private school within Los Angeles beginning his junior year of high school.

On Matthew's first day, he entered his class and noticed some students already sat on some chairs inside the room. So, he started finding an empty chair to sit on. When he found one, Matthew proceeded to wait until the entire class arrived.

A few minutes pass, and some guy wearing glasses and a small pair of plugs in his ears entered the classroom.

Matthew noticed that he was friends with some other taller guys in the class, so he thought to himself, "These guys must be the class jocks. The school's jocks, even. These guys look like they could easily be drafted for some team in the NBA."

The guy wearing glasses with plugs in his ears noticed Matthew right away.

He thought to himself, "Ooh, who's that guy? I've never seen this guy before in my life, so he's most likely new around here." So, he told his circle of friends, "I'll talk to y'all later, dudes." The guy with glasses immediately approached Matthew.

Matthew was sitting on his chair with his arms resting on the desk in front of him while scrolling through Facebook in his phone using the school's Wi-Fi connection, when the guy that he noticed earlier walked up to him and suddenly tapped his right shoulder.

As Matthew got startled, the guy with glasses smiled at him, brought one hand out, and said to him, "Nice to meet you, dude. My name's Nathan." Matthew smiled back at Nathan, shook his hand, and replied, "What's up, man? I'm Matthew."

After introducing each other, Nathan went back to talking with his friends.

Meanwhile, Matthew thought to himself, "This Nathan guy seems nice. But who am I to say that? It's only my first day. My point of view with this dude might change as days go by." He proceeded to go back to scrolling through Facebook afterwards.

As Nathan and his friends finished talking, he took a seat on some chair near the whiteboard.

He thought to himself, "I'm not gay, but goddamn. That Matthew dude's handsome as fuck. I'd definitely want to know him better." Nathan proceeded to take out his phone and started playing Mobile Legends: Bang Bang using the school's Wi-Fi connection.

A few more minutes passed, and every student in the class has already arrived.

Once the last person to enter the class arrived, the classroom suddenly got quiet. Their first teacher has not yet arrived in their classroom, but it seemed as if everyone already ran out of things to talk about to pass the time while waiting.

Their first teacher arrived a few minutes later after the classroom turned quiet.

Everyone stood up as the teacher arrived inside their class. The teacher smiled at them and said, "Welcome to Math class. My name's Agnes Young, and please refer to me as Ms. Young, kids." Everyone greeted, "Good morning, Ms. Young."

Ms. Young proceeded to tell everyone to take their seats.

Then, she said, "There are quite a few old faces I see and recognize. Interesting. Well, then. Let's start this day by introducing yourselves to me, and end it by telling me anything that you expect from this class as this semester goes on."

Everyone proceeded to introduce themselves to Ms. Young one-by-one.

As the last person in the class finished introducing themselves, Ms. Young said, "It's really nice to meet all of you. I hope that all of you would have a great time here in our class, and in this school. And hopefully I remember everyone's names and faces."

Everyone smiled at Ms. Young.

A few minutes pass, and Ms. Young immediately started the first lesson in her class. While she was teaching, one student in the class suddenly started tearing up. Ms. Young noticed this and asked, "What's wrong, sweetheart? Is something up?"

Ms. Young stopped for a while and proceeded to approach the student.

The student said that they were getting confused with some part of the lesson, which caused them not to fully understand the concept of the lesson immediately. Ms. Young pat the student's back and said, "Don't worry, honey. You'll get there."

Ms. Young proceeded to repeat the lesson for the sake of everyone else, and taught it in a slower pace so that everyone would understand better.
