SORIN BLACKI felt like I was heaven.
My eyes fluttered open lightly, slightly wincing at the bright light that came beaming through the window. My eyes could properly see now, my head looked up seeing Hayden holding me gently. Caressing my silk strands of my black hair. I looked him deeply in his eyes his fingers crossed over my face, rubbing my cheeks. He smiled at me. For the first time in a while he smiled.
I smiled back softly.
Until reality hit me like a ton of bricks.
I got up dashing out of the bed, i forgot about my morning chores. I dashed out his room quickly getting to my room and getting ready into my clothes. My whole body shook with paranoia.
' oh no no no I have to get down quick.'
I ran down the large flight of stairs, running to the kitchen. My body froze immediately at the sight of my brothers. Sitting down at the table. It couldn't move, their stares immediately went to me threatening me in a way. I gulped thinking.
" ohh the sleeping beauty awoken." Aries said sarcastically, " are you gonna cook us breakfast or WHAT!! YOU GONNA STAND THERE ALL DAY, IM STARVING!!" He yelled at me slamming his fist down on the marble counter. My body flinched at the sound of his voice before saying a ' yes sir.'
After I got down making there breakfast I settled it down on the placemats on the table. One by one I served them, just before I was about to leave Derek side. His hand immediately grabbed my arm squeezing it tightly in his hold, i whimpered at the discomfort feeling.
" stay right here, Sorin."
I nodded standing next to him like a hopeless child.
" Aries, Damien." Derek called out. Both of them looked at their brother,
" dads coming home today."
My body felt limp by those words. I hated my dad. I hated him with all my heart. He was worse than my brothers. He hated my existence, the memories of that man left my body cold.
" Sorin make sure you get the house ready would ya? Since you didn't do your job this morning, your lucky I let it slide. But remember dad won't, so do best be on your best behavior." He smirked knowing what happens when I don't.
I nodded my head.
That evening I got the house ready for dads arrival. Cleaning every inch of the place from top to bottom which took me hours. I was really tired at that point, but I got to see Hayden passing by. He saw me too so I flashed him a smile.
But he just left.
It kinda hurt a little bit but it was nothing that wasn't expecting.
So I went back to work.
After an hour later I was done with everything. Putting away every thing the cleaners to the vacuum and mop away in the closet. I headed to my room, shutting the door behind me silently, I kneeled down laying softly on my futon. I snuggled down to my pillow feeling the soft comfort. My eyes heavily swollen I slept through the night.
After an hour later;
I woken by the sound of my name calling,
" So-"
" Sorin.."
My eyes softly woken up looking above I saw Hayden, above me shaking me slightly. His fingers moving away the strands of my hair that covered my eyes.
" dads almost here. Derek wants everyone down stairs when he arrives." He said standing up before leaving me alone.
I sighed out softly before getting up from the futon, making my way to the closet grabbing out a baggy hoodie, hiding the bruises that were visible. I got a pair of socks putting them on to keep my feet warm. The only thing that the ones on my hands and legs. I grabbed my phone and my head phones. And then I headed down downstairs.
I saw everyone there dressed and ready. I stood by the corner of the room staring down at the floor hoping no attention is payed towards me. Playing with the hem of my socks, I bit the inside of my cheeks humming a soft tune of the song, ' good days.' That played smoothly in my ears.
Until I heard a knock on the door.
I watched as my brothers happily opened it while I just stared emotionlessly at them. I saw as my dad came in with a big laugh hugging all of my brothers with warm welcome hug. The big smile that he gave them.
I just stood there looking down at the floor. Outlining the lines of the tiles on the floor until I felt someone above me. I looked up hesitantly seeing my dad, I looked away once again.
His finger held up my chin making me look into his eyes. I whimper a little in his presence, " it's rude not looking people in the eye Sorin. I thought I taught you better than to be disobedient."
" sorry s-sir."
" hmm may I talk to you in private Sorin."
I nodded meekly following him as he walked away into the hallway. I could feel my body trembling tremendously, not knowing what was going to happen next.
He later than stopped in the middle of the hall, turning his face towards me.
" derek tells me of your punishment yesterday." He said, " do I have to drill it in your brain once again Sorin. Of what will happen once you disobey your brothers. " He sneered at me in annoyance.
I shook my head scared out my life. The horrible memories.
" that's good. It's a lot of work to do that again." He says coming towards me, moving the curls of my hair away from my face. I bit my lip tear coming out of my eyes.
" you should already know your place Sorin."
