⁎⁺˳✧༚~*Your POV*
I managed to head home before dark, thankful that my family wouldn't have to yell at me for being out late. I realize right as I close my door and get comfortable in my blankets that I hadn't delivered the phone, immediately shrugging it off as I shall be giving it back to her when we meet again, likely Monday. I go to pull out unfinished work out of my backpack, brushing my fingers against the top of all the objects and papers inside until I see my specific paper at the back. Midway of attempting to retrieve the paper, my finger suddenly feels the cover of a couple of borrowed books, seemingly my favorite genre. I had no plans for the weekend so I decided to bring them back to my local library, I had the time and I might be able to try out some more genres. I stuffed my belongings into my backpack as well as Toko's phone, in case I find her here. As much as I love to go to the library, I know Toko does too which just inspires me to do this even more. I still need to question her about what had just happened, I never was good at processing things so I just try to shake off my unease.
I calm myself down and my shivers go away, I go toward my wardrobe and look for a jacket that can last me the cold. I looked for my favorite f/c colored jacket, as I then realized my memories of Toko faintly walking away with it on, I groaned as I picked out one of my other jackets which were less of my style but a gift from my relative. I stuffed myself inside of it, leaving the hoodie down for now and I went toward my mirror in order to make sure I looked fine. I leave my bedroom toward the nearest mirror, combing my hair a bit and leaving to the outside. I sigh in relief and head toward the door, quickly putting on my boots and lifting my hoodie on as my hair lingered visible, opening the door and leaving as the snowflakes crumble down around me and eventually on the top of my hood. The snow let out an audible crunch as I walk through the snow, the sounds seemed to comfort me as I took a second to admire my surroundings, the house that seems to practically fly by and the trees covered in snow, an occasional group of friends of rather small or big, largest I saw was around 4-5.
The comforting crunches upon my feet seem to leave as I arrive upon the library, allowing myself in as the open sign wobbles on the sudden movement. I head toward the desk and give the librarian a smile, pulling my books out of my backpack and sliding them toward her. She returned the gesture and smiled back, thanking me and alerting me of a new book within my favorite genre. I nod and give a wave, heading toward the shelves. I slowly scoot the book out of its socket, only paying attention to the title and head toward a nearby table to read, basically shoving my face in the book while occasionally dozing off. I hear someone pick out a seat on the other side of the table and pull out a book as well, the words of the book seem to linger within my head and soothe me. I get pulled out of my thoughts as the other person sighs gently and seems to be talking to someone, gently and quietly however. My ears seemed to peek up as they mentioned the name of the book I am holding, so I started to listen.
⁎⁺˳✧༚~*Toko's POV*
I looked around, my book in my hand. I wanted a day to take a breather, just all to myself and to relax. I mentally groan as I notice there are people at every table, I look around and I spot a table, one person, which was at least the smallest group. I sit across from them and my book slithers from beneath my grasp as I continue to read. The words failed to soothe me, strangely. I continue but it doesn't help, so I sigh gently and look around. My eyes hooked onto the book the other person was holding, my newest release. A boost of confidence arises within me as I start gently speaking toward them "Y-You like that b-b-book?" They didn't seem to hear me at first so I began to talk up enough to which they could hear me plenty "Heart Of M-Moss.. One of my mere r-r-recent books. . ." It seems the name had peaked their interest a tad bit as they held their finger on the page they were on to check the cover, as they did I felt a change of emotion within their aura as they stopped moving and shut their book entirely, placing it down on the table allowing me to get a glance of what they look lik— Is thAT Y/N?..?..?!.!? "Toko..?" I never did get used to being called by my first name, it still sends a shock down my spine when I hear it but when I heard them say it I felt a shelter of safety.
"W-W-What are you, a s-stalker now?" I mumbled, quiet but still loud enough for them to hear. "N-No! But I was looking for you so this is convenient. ." They replied defensively, I wondered what they wanted me for, maybe to tease me for what happened? How should I know. . . They must have seen my expression cause they talked once more "You left your phone, I wanted to give it back to you." I instantly remembered and my head perked up "W-W-What?!? G-Give it to m-me!" I said in worry that they somehow got inside of it, hopefully they didn't go through my text messages or gallery. . They picked up their backpack and searched, a moment later they held amongst something and pulled it out. My phone, I instantly grabbed it and put it in my pocket book, mumbling a thank you and trying to glare away from them. "U-umm. . About what happened—" I instantly knew what they were talking about and cut them off "W-W-What?! You wanna tell e-everyone?! T-T-Tease me?!?" I whisper-yelled to them to avoid the librarian telling me to be quiet, I felt a tear about to glide down but I held it in. "N-No! I'm just surprised with how you never told me since we are pretty close, I understand from your perspective but I just sort of feel like you don't trust me. . " I was shocked at such a response, expecting nothing like that. "A-A-And..? Y-You expect me to c-come up to you and be like. . 'O-O-Oh, hey Y/N, just wanted to l-let you know that I h-have a side personality who is a serial k-killer.'?" I shot back after a moment of consideration, they then mumbled a ". . True.."
I feel more settled since we got through this, hopefully they don't think less of me but then again I have a whole other murderous personality so I doubt that. We sort of just sat in silence for awhile, no idea what to say to the other. My mind goes blank for the time being, I doze out until they break the silence "Is there anything you'd want to do? I'm free whenever." I flinch a bit but I nod, not feeling the need to say anything. "I'll make it up to you, I'll make sure to text you when and where!" I nod again but then I realize.. 'message' .. we don't have each other's phone numbers or socials how are we gonna contact eachother—
"W-Wait what do you m-mean by message?" They look awkwardly at me realizing what they just said "AnywAY TALK TO YOU LATER..-" They walk out as I'm just left in confusion.
Eh, as long as they know what they are doing I think I'll be good...
[Sorry for the short chapter!! I made this chapter unfinished awhile ago and that might explain the change in grammar and description, I wanted to finish it since it was left unfinished. This chapter might not make much sense since I don't really know where I was going with it but I hope it's comprehensible!]
