The Dragon & The Fox [on hiatus]

Chapter I: The Beginning of Life

[I know it's long, but where's the fun in that? This book i will wrote each chapter for 10 pages, i first write it in google docs and count how many pages then transferred it here. Chapter II is still in the making 😗 so, have fun guessing how many words 😉]

There's once an ancient kingdom, named 'HuaYue' which means the flowery moon. The people of the kingdom are really beautiful and handsome, they're also very kind and gentle with each other and rarely get into fights. The emperor and empress are both kind people too, and they had a son. HuaYue kingdom is one of the majestic fox kingdoms, there are other kingdoms too. Mink kingdom XianLe, feline kingdom Yong An and canine kingdom BanYue. These kingdoms don't really have that good relationship with each other but the crowned prince of mink kingdom XianLe, Xie Lian was friends with the fox kingdom's HuaYue crowned prince, Wei Ying courtesy WuXian. Wei Ying also has a friend from his kingdom, Hong er was a best friend of Wei WuXian. He would always stick with him everywhere he goes, Wei Ying didn't complain because at the palace there's no one to talk to so he often goes on adventure out of the palace with Hong er.

Sometimes they would go to the border between HuaYue and XianLe and meet with Xie Lian to play together or just hang out under a tree to admire the magnificent view. They would tell the worry of themselves to each other because they trust each other and wouldn't spill any secrets to outside people, their parents wouldn't feel worried because they know where their kids go. Until one day in XianLe, they held a god offering and celebrated the heavens, as also to symbolize the kingdom's prosperities, the festival and Xie Lian's performance was highly regarded as an icon of the kingdom. Both Wei Ying and Hong er were invited, even if they're just 6 years old they came with the emperor and empress of HuaYue as they're also invited. The kids decided to go to one of the walls of the palace to watch their gege a bit closer and to also enjoy the festival.

The fox ears on top of both Wei Ying and Hong er were twitching in anticipation, can't wait to cheer on gege. Not long after the festival started, the horses were white with golden armor, the dancers danced gracefully and the soldiers with shining golden armor were marching. It truly was a sight, soon the soldiers were holding a platform with the acting ghost on it but no savior that was supposed to slay the ghost. The crowd was getting anxious and asking where the savior was, Wei Ying was also looking around in case he saw his gege elsewhere. Without knowing, the person next to him, Hong er was pushed from the people behind him, in wanting to see what happened. Then a scream was heard and Wei WuXian turned to his right and saw his best friend dangling off the edge, "Hong ge!" he screams and tries to reach his hand out but his arms are not long enough, thus Hong er falls. Then a wind passed by fastly, it was gege! He catched Hong er.

Wei Ying ran down as he saw both of them landed, the mink holding the child tightly. His mask was half undone and eventually fell off to reveal the crowned prince of XianLe, everyone was in a state of shock. The black fox came to them, in a panting state, he gasped for air before speaking. "Ge, are you alright? Did you get injured?" Wei Ying asked the red fox in the elder mink's arms, "no, i'm alright di. Just a bit shaky" Hong er replied. It was just straightforward because he didn't want to worry his didi. "Why were you falling off the wall?" Xie Lian asked the little fox who's in his arms, snuggling cutely, Wei WuXian who's seeing all this gagged a bit at the lovey dovey ness, he then clears his throat to get both of them to snap it and it worked. Then Feng Xin came rushing with Mu Qing on his tail, "your highness, are you alright? Did you get hurt?" was asked by both as they got to his side.

"Ah, yes I'm alright. How about we take this inside? It's a bit crowded here" and that guards surrounded the five of them and off they went inside as the parade continued. Once they're inside, the king, queen, emperor and empress from both kingdoms come to their children's aid, "are you all alright? None of you got injured right?" the XianLe queen asked them and got a nod, indicating that none got a scratch. "Ah, mother. We're all ok and received no injuries, in fact maybe Hong er got a bit traumatic" Hong er is still in Xie Lian's arms, clearly happy that his gege hasn't putting him down yet. "Hong er, are you ok now? Can you tell us what happened?" The fox empress asked the child, "I was just holding Wei Di's hand when I felt a push from behind me and gradually it's becoming much more extreme. It got to where i was dangling of the wall for dear life, then Wei di saw me and trying to held but i slipped"
