Chapter 3

LAVE.....   LAVEEE...

The wind brought her the fearful shouting of her brother. She was startled from her chain of thoughts hearing Tyler calling her out.

She knew Its about time Tyler will find her.

Here you are! You can't be here late at night Lave... Its so dangerous!!

Lavender know just from his tone that Tyler was more than just furious.

Just chill Ty, am really fine! you don't have to be over dramatic about it, she tried to be reasonable with him.

Tyler's eyes were golden in color which shows that his wolf was in charge, she must have tottally freaked him out then. He then closed his eyes for a while fighting his emotions to take back control from his wolf, when he later reopened them it was back to his normal shade.

Without telling anything else Tyler just grabed her by wrist and walk back through the forest, the silence between them made her really uncomfortable, she have never in once seen her brother this angry, he was a bit protective but always been very laid back and approachable.

She then knew something was up that made him acting like this and something inside her tells that its the same reason that made their parents stiff at the gathering.

"What's happening Tyler?"

She dared to ask. But he remains awfully quite and that's entirely contrary to his usual nature. So she gave it one more chance,

"Is everything alright? You know, you can share it with me, I will not tell a soul."

He signed after that and turns to look at her face, contemplating her suggestion. She can see the hesitation in his eyes, he is thinking about it, she simply gives him a sharp node urging him to share.

Do you hear about the search ride Alpha mentioned earlier? Tyler questioned after some moment.

Yeah but they caught the culprits right? Lavender was confused now! She remember the Alpha explaining that the issue were over.

They are all died!, each and every one of them, Tyler continued..

Lavender was still confused, whats the Issue in that? For goodness sake! they were all criminals. She knew Packs law and punishments are harsh compared with the human world, so it's not that uncommon for packs to kill the rouges that creates havoc.

Seeming like reading her mind, Tyler again takes a deep breath before hugging her. It always worked for him to calm his mind.
Tyler break the news then;

Apparently all of the attackers died by spilling blood from their eyes, mouth and ears after they put in the pack's prison cells.
The thing is that neither anyone from that pack gave the prisoners any poisonous substances nor did they carry anything with them. Then the blood test results clarifies the absence of any chemicals that made them spill the blood. All of them were perfectly healthy.

Now she knew why Tylor was anxious.
Do..... you think the witches did that? She asks softly, testing the water.
Tylor became stiff, which confirms her doubts

The eastern mountains are the border between our pack and the Witch coven, well thats whats her grandmother told her anyways, there was no proof for that. It is said that there is some kind of unknown invisible portal which connects the two worlds and according to legends only a powerful hybrid born from a powerful legacy can break the spell and cross that secret portal.

It would be a lie if Lavender tells that she never tried to find the invisible portal, she was always been a curious fly, but she had no luck finding them.

You know Tylor, witches can never cross the portal and reach here.
Our ancestors made sure of that while creating that portal, she added to help him calm his nerves which surprisingly worked.
Since there were no hybrids left in the planet..well not according to her grandmother, They were all hunted and killed by some witches years ago, grandmother never tells her the reason though, If it is true then the portal is kind of permanently closed right? She really hopes so!

Witches are bad news, she heard that they sacrifice young girls to achieve powers..they even kill their own kind then absorb their powers which makes them more powerful. A shiver went through her spines just by thinking about them.

If she had a say in anything, she never wished to see a witch face to face.

Tylor was now talking about how Alpha, Luna and our parents are worried about it and how he hoped it was the end of everything and no such issues will appear from now on.

But her gut telling her that its not the end, its just the beginning of something, like somethings are going to change. It's not going to be the same from now on. But what will that be?

The half moon above them smiled downwards knowingly.

Its just the beginning...
