Chapter 4

Shuichi POV

We were at the park, on a picnic date. His ear piercings glistened in the sunlight, and a bit of his hair swept over his eye.

We gazed at each other momentarily, until he leaned in.

I leaned it in too, but he had vanished...

*BEEP BEEP*

"Fuck..." I muttered.

Reluctantly, I switched off my alarm, and looked at the time.

8:50AM

School starts at 9AM...

'Eh, better late than never' I thought.

On any other day, I would be panicking, but today I couldn't really be bothered.

Rantaro POV

Kaede, Tenko, Himiko, Kokichi and I were waiting at the school gate for Shuichi. School started in 3 minutes and he still wasn't here.

We tried calling his phone, but no response.

Unfortunately, the bell rang so we headed to class.

Shuichi POV

"You don't have to answer but, why did you two break up?" Kaede asked Rantaro.

"Oh, we lost feelings for each other, but we're still friends," responded Rantaro.

"Yea! What the avocado said, nishishi~" Kokichi said.

Tuning out of the conversation, I thought that maybe I have some hope.

Maybe Rantaro could like me. I didn't want to get my hopes up but it could be possible...

"chi"

"ichi"

"Shuichi!!"

"A-ahh" I got startled and fell off my seat by Tenko aggressively shaking my shoulders.

"Degenerate male, lunch is over!"

"Oh sorry Tenko.." I said, quickly rushing to class.

Not sure where this book is going at the moment.
I know the ending, but I'm not sure what to do for the build-up(??)
