Keisuke - Late Night Chat

A sudden knock on the door leads you and Keisuke to become closer...

Crickets chirped in the cool air of Gunma while you were starting to get ready for bed. You yawned as you walked to your bathroom. You lived in a small apartment on the outskirts of Gunma where you worked for a friend. You looked at your watch which read 12:03 AM, not sure what kept you up at this hour. You started to wash your hands before hearing a knock at your door. "At what hour would someone need me?" You spoke softly as you stomped to your door and gazed through the peep hole to notice familiar spiky, blonde hair. Keisuke? You thought as you swung open the door.

"Hi, (Y/N)." Keisuke sheepishly said, scratching the back of his head. The usual confident and arrogant man, who's your friend, seemed to be no where.

"Keisuke!? What are you doing here at midnight?" You questioned this unusual scenario while folding your arms.

"Aniki and I got into a fight..." Keisuke confessed, "... And I left home." You could tell by seeing his slightly puffy eyes and shaking body. You immediately took him into your small apartment and sat him down on the couch. You sat on one side while he was on the opposite. The TV buzzed with sound while shows played in the background for some noise. He huffed a sighed and took the blanket that was on the arm of the couch. You and him have been friends for a good two years after finding him crashed into a bush. He was very flustered but tried to remain stubborn when you offered him help. However, you still ended up taking him back to his mansion since his FD was lodged into a bush. You smiled subtly at the stupid first memory of him. After that, you both hit it off, hanging out at the races he attended and met his brother, Ryosuke. You all grew very close.

"It was something about my old relationships, and how I should 'grow up' and move on." Keisuke was clearly talking about Kyoko, his old girlfriend. They dated for a while after Project D ended but it soon turned rotten. You didn't know much about how it ended but you knew it was around the same time you and Keisuke met. "I saw her in public and totally froze. Ryosuke quickly took noticed and tried to talk to me about it but it soon got heated." You nodded, intently listening to his words.

"Well, I agree that you need to move on but, it is hard." Your eyes hit his with a sympathetic look. He huffed again knowing it's the truth. Though most people find him to be assertive and angry, he was a big softy on the inside and you really brought that out of him.

"Well, I know how to cheer you up." You ran to your kitchen and straight to the freezer. Keisuke watched as you got ice cream and two spoons and ran back with a smile.

"What's this?"

"Chocolate Chip ice cream, your favorite!" You gave him one of the spoons and shoved the carton of ice cream in his face. "You can have the first bite," you smiled at him as he hesitantly opened the carton. His eyes gleamed when he took a bite of the ice cream. You chuckled seeing how much of a baby he is.

"God, this is so good," he said with his mouth full. Ice cream can cure any sadness. After he was done with his bite he took your spoon out of your hand.

"Hey!" You protested as he got another scoop and pointed the spoon at you. "Really? You're gonna baby feed me after you're the one who cried?" You retorted but still opened your mouth.

He chuckled, Yeah, why not, since you're the one who took me in." He put the cold spoon into your warm mouth as you took the bite of ice cream. By now, the both of you were a foot apart, nearly leaning over each other. You closed your eyes and savored the delicious taste... even though it was grocery store bought. When you opened your eyes, you saw Keisuke staring at your eyes, then your lips. Your heart jumped and your cheeks immediately grew red. You had never seen Keisuke so intensely staring at you, well at least caught him staring at you now. His sapphire eyes trailed up and down your face as he leaned in closer.

"Kei...?" You muttered out before Keisuke crashed his lips onto yours. This took you completely off guard and you fell back still connected to him. He held his weight up with his arms on both sides of you. The way his sweet yet bitter lips tasted was almost entrancing. Your lips molded perfectly. You took your arms and hung them across his neck as it became more heated. His tongue grazed your lips as he asked for entrance. You hesitated but soon obliged. His tongue was very demanding but gentle. His tongue wrapped around yours as you gasped a bit. You didn't know how aggressive he was when it came to kissing but you liked it. It showed his true nature instead of his hurt one you saw when he came to your door step.

Keisuke broke the kiss when suddenly the spoon dropped to the floor. A thin string of saliva connected you two before breaking. You both gasped for air, not knowing how long y'all were at it for. His eyes glinted with a hint of mischief while he got off of you. You blinked your eyes wildly as you tried to recall what just happened. He chuckled in amusement at your innocence.

You returned back to your sitting position, your cheeks still flushed tomato red. Keisuke sat back with a tinge of pink lightly dusted on his face.

"I... broke up with Kyoko because I met you, (Y/N)." He suddenly broke the silence. Your eyes opened widely with the missing puzzle price now solved. That's why they broke up.

"M-Me?" You asked with disbelief.

"Everything about you made me fall for you," he confessed and crinkled his nose at the cringe-worthy statement he made. You immediately hugged him. He was a bit shocked but quickly embraced it.

By the end of the night, you fell asleep in his arms with the blanket over you. The TV displaying cheesy, old, black and white movies. The rustle of leaves and sirens echoed throughout the canyon. You both fell asleep soundly together.
