Chilled's PoV

I went to the guest bedroom and brought up Skype on my phone. I called a few people. After several rings, Adam and Aaron answered. Soon, most everyone picked up.

"Hey, Chilled. You okay? It's 3 A.M.," Aaron said, looking at the clock. I checked the time, seeing it was 3:25 A.M.

"I'm sorry. I didn't check the time. I'm worried about Max," I said. Adam nodded.

"Are you at his house? What happened?" Adam asked.

"He convinced me to stay with him. Anyway, I was talking with him earlier. He started talking about depression and what it's like. He just got out of the hospital. I'm worried about him."

"People don't just come out of depression. It takes time. The person needs to feel happiness. They need a reason to live. I thought Max had that; with Renee," Adam finished. I shook my head.

"Renee cheated on Max. That's what sent him over. I read the message he sent her. It was pretty upsetting to say the least."

"I never expected Renee to do that. She seemed like such a great girl. Max was always happy when he was around her," Sark budded into the conversation. I had almost forgotten he was in the call. Aaron and Adam were really the only ones talking.

"That's what I thought too," I paused. "When I got to the hospital, Max wasn't happy. He was talking about how the person who saved him should die. I felt so bad. I did the right thing, didn't I?" I asked.

"Yes," Sark, Adam, Aaron, and Mini said at the same time. Now everyone in the Skype call was talking. I couldn't hear what any of them were saying because they were talking over each other.

"Guys, stop. I can't understand any of you," I shouted/whispered. I didn't want to wake Max. They all quieted down and stared at me through their cameras.

"You did the right thing. Letting Max die...that's not right. Everyone has a reason to live. Once they fulfill that, then they can go. Max didn't know what he was doing. Now that you two live in the same neighborhood and everything, you can help him. Just always be there for him, Anthony. One friend is all a person needs," Sark said. I nodded slowly, processing everything.

"I can do that. Ever since Jess and I broke up, I've needed something. Maybe Max and I can help each other out. Thanks guys."

"Anytime, Chilled. I'm going to leave now. I need some sleep," Mini said. Sark agreed and both of them left.

"I might go too. If you need anything, just call," Aaron said, leaving the call. Then it was just Adam and I.

"You know Anthony, you can call any of us. I may be with Cathy, but I do have time for you. Take care of Max, will you?" Adam said.

"Yeah. I'll keep him alive," I paused. "Thanks for earlier today. When you helped me through the whole cutting situation I can't thank you enough for everything, Adam."

"It was no problem. I think I'm going to leave too. Have a good...night, I guess," Adam said. I nodded, and wished him a good night. With that, he ended the call and I was left alone in the darkness. I set my phone down and stood up. I decided to grab some water from the kitchen. On my way back to the room, I heard something. A faint, muffled sound. I approached Max's room, and it became louder. I pushed the door open slightly. The room was dark, but light shone from underneath the bathroom door. I pushed the door open the rest of the way and walked in. I knocked on the door. The sound stopped. In fact, all sounds stopped.

"Max? Are you in there?" I ask, panic threatening me. There was no response. "Max? Answer me."

"I'm fine, Anthony," he responded, slightly slurring his words.

"May I come in?" I asked.

"No," Max responded rather quickly. I grabbed the knob and jiggled it. It appeared that Max had locked himself in.

"Max, I can help you. I can be there for you. Don't block yourself off from me. I'm trying to be a friend and help you," I said.

"Help me with what? My craziness? And why do you have to be a friend?" Max said. I heard some popping on the other side of the door.

"Max, open the door. You're not crazy. You know what I mean," I shouted, trying to open the door. I heard shuffling on the other side. The door opened a crack and was thrown forward. Max practically leapt on me. He pushed his lips onto mine and grabbed my hands with his one hand, pinning them above me. At this point, Max had shoved himself completely onto of me. Max was older than me as well as stronger. I was stuck. He used his other hand to touch my inner thigh, making me gasp. He shoved his tongue inside my mouth. I could taste the alcohol. He had probably been drinking in the bathroom. I struggled against Max, but I wasn't getting anywhere. I most likely wouldn't get him off for a while.

"I love you, Anthony," Max said, pulling away.

"Max, you're awesome, but I'm just not ready for something like this. I get that you're upset-" I said, but was cut off by Max.

"Why does no one love me?" He yelled before punching me in the face. He quickly stood up and ran back into the bathroom. I put my foot in the door which just made Max slam it harder. I yowled in pain and pulled my foot back. I decided I should probably leave. I didn't want to leave Max alone. If he's upset and everything, he might do something regrettable. I laid down by the door and closed my eyes. A while later, I fell asleep.
