She had already scheduled a blind date for me and it was the 21st of that month. It was at 7:00pm and I had to be there so mom would be happy. That morning, I was swamped with work and I had to create new products to start selling. I had lots of meetings that day. I didn't know if I was gonna make it. Eventually I was able to finish before 6 pm so I had time to go home and get ready. I wore this really nice white slim fit dress and a black shawl. To top it off, I wore a simple gold necklace that had matching earrings and I wore a chic gold slim wristwatch, I honestly never thought I could afford these things. It was scheduled at a very fancy restaurant not far from where I lived.  As I walked in the restaurant, I saw a very sophisticated man wearing a nice navy blue suit. I slowly walked in and walked over to him and asked if he was the person I was supposed to be meeting.

He was and he looked a bit younger than me. We ordered our meals and started to talk. I ordered a steak topped with shrimp and asparagus and he ordered a stuffed lobster tail with a side of shrimped tossed pasta. He said some stuff and I said some stuff, it was going pretty well. I found out he was only 20 years old. So I asked, "why was he on a blind date?", he answered that he was on a blind date because an old friend asked him to go on this date. He asked the same to me and I said my mom set up this blind date for me because she wanted me to have fun in life now. We started laughing, it was almost half past 9 and we left the restaurant. The bill was split by each of us because we kept insisting on paying. We also exchanged numbers, I guess this wasn't so bad and I just kept thinking that all this is too good to be true, that he seemed to perfect.  After dinner, he suggested dessert because dinner at that restaurant was already too expensive. We walked out of the restaurant and suggested a good place. So he drove and took me to a nice cute ice cream place.

So after dessert, I told him I had a great time and maybe we can meet again if fate allowed us too. He said that he had a great time too and insisted on taking me home. I guess a ride home wouldn't hurt. Once we got to my apartment, we had a nice talk and he hugged me. I was shocked, I wasn't even ready for this hug. I wanted nothing to do with physical contact. I gently pushed him away. I told him I had a great night once again and hurriedly went inside. I felt bad but all that physical contact brought back all those memories again. I went inside my apartment and started to cry silently to myself. I cleaned myself up after and just went to bed.

I went to work the next day and mom called to ask about how the date went. I said it went great and of course I left out the ending stuff. But after that, I never saw him again and I even forgot about him. One day, I had an important meeting with some clients and I was helping them with the event we were hosting for them. Once the meeting was over, I was leaving and I bumped into someone. It was him!! The blind date guy... turned out he was the owner of the building and his client was also my client. He asked if he wanted to go get coffee someday because we were busy today. After talking a bit, we both went our separate ways. We both continued working with each other after that day because of the client. After work one day, we went out for coffee and started to get to know each other. So I asked, "what are your hobbies?" and he said reading. I told him I love reading and we started to recommend some interesting books to each other. We talked about various topics. We talked about our favorite book genres and then moved onto who we are and basically getting to know each other.
