I fucking HATE it when there's a character in a book that is extremely toxic but is written of as if they are nice and have no faults!!!!!
I was just reading a book (which I have now stopped reading coz I got many panic attacks while reading it) and the male main character is basically the definition of toxic masculinity >:(
He is literally a fuckboy and just sleeps around with random girls and EVERYONE believes that ok, but when it's a FeMalE, it means they're a whore and a slut, and that they deserve no respect because they are bitches. I'm not kidding, he literally said it himself.
And it's "fine" when he does something wrong because he's the heir to the throne and because he "genuinely" feels bad when HE feels like he has gone too far.
His whole school idolises him just because he's a prince and good at everything. Sure he mostly PRETENDS to be nice, but he lost his cool so many times they should know by now.
He literally forced the main female character to face what has caused her trauma, because he felt that it was more important that she did what he told her.
