"Master Chuuya, would you like your tea?" Akutagawa walked in with a tray of tea and snacks.
"He has been here for a week and is already more efficient than you," Chuuya glanced at Dazai who was standing to his left.
"He has been here for a week and has already gotten on my very last nerve," Dazai's eyebrow twitched with rage.
"Would you like tea as well Sir Dazai?"
"Sir?" Chuuya glanced at Dazai again.
"I told him yesterday if he didn't call me something professional I might throw him off a cliff or make you touch him by force."
"Why?" Chuuya properly stared at Dazai's face.
"Because," Dazai leaned forward and placed one hand on the desk and the other on Chuuya's chair. He turned the chair so Chuuya was facing him entirely and leaned down to whisper in his ear. "It's been a week and our palace of solitude has been invaded. Do you know how difficult it is to go back to not touching you after finally being allowed to touch you?"
"I'm still here," Akutagawa placed the tray down on the desk.
"That's the point," Dazai restrained himself from growling. "There is no reason for you to be here."
"He makes a nice cup of tea," Chuuya picked up the teacup and brought it to his lips.
"No he doesn't," Dazai grabbed the teacup out of Chuuya's hands and sipped it. "This is terrible."
"If it's so terrible why did you drink the entire thing?" Chuuya sighed.
"Have I done something to offend you, Sir Dazai?" Akutagawa asked.
"Your entire existence offends me," Dazai snapped and exited the study after slamming the teacup down on the tray.
Chuuya grabbed the teapot and poured himself another cup of tea. He dropped a sugar cube in the cup and then stirred with a small spoon. Taking a sip of tea, he looked to Akutagawa. "What are you still doing in here?"
"Sir Dazai doesn't like me very much..."
"Has he ever? You know him more than I do...technically...you've known him longer than I have, I assume."
"He has never liked me..." Akutagawa shifted awkwardly and grabbed his arm.
"Do you...like Dazai?" Chuuya watched Akutagawa's face carefully. He was unusually stoic which led Chuuya to believe he did have feelings for him.
"It doesn't matter," Akutagawa replied. "He has you."
"Hm," Chuuya leaned back in his chair and crossed his arms. "Is that why you haven't tried to kill me?"
"What?"
"Your actual mission here was to kill me and take Dazai back by force, wasn't it?" Chuuya folded his hands on his lap.
Akutagawa's eyes widened slightly. "Why would you assume that?"
"Because your boss doesn't like what I can do and wants Dazai back whatever means necessary. Or are you going to try and convince me I'm wrong?"
"You're correct," Akutagawa nodded. "I had no intentions of following through, however, because-"
"Because you don't want Dazai to hate you," Chuuya nodded.
"If I'm being perfectly honest," Akutagawa began, "a man that can kill me with his hand is a lot more terrifying than a man who just bosses others around."
"I'll try not to kill you," Chuuya smiled.
"Good to know," Akutagawa smiled slightly.
