Chapter 17

Penelope's P.O.V

So when Kylie told her mom we were going to the park we all just ran out to the car and hopped in to make sure that Anne couldn't ask us questions. We all huddled in the car with Kylie driving, Violet in the passanger seat, Toby and Zane by the windows, which left me in the middle of the two. As we were driving, Violet turned on the radio. The song that was playing was Demi Lovato ft Cher Llyod' Really Don't Care'.I was mumbling to the words, while she was singing. She was singing until it got to Cher Llyod's part. I was mumbling the words to the rap and realized Violet wasn't singing any more. I glared at her and she just smiled. Everybody was looking at me shocked, except for Violet.

" We didn't know you could sing." Toby said. I just noded my head.

Right on que, we pulled up to the house we were looking for. Once we had all gotten out the car we stood in the front of the house. I looked up and saw a light on.

" Hey guys, look up at the upstairs windows. The Light is on." I said.

We had to find a way in because the house is all boarded up.I was by myself, while Violet was with Kylie, Toby and Zane. I heard yelling and Violet came to my side of the house.

" We found an opening. So I would hurry up so we can show everyone." She said.

As we were climbing through the hole they found, I noticed it led to the basement. Once we were through the hole, we all through the hole, we all looked around. There were spiders everywhere. Kylie looked like she was about to scream, until Toby put his hand on her mouth. She looked annoyed.

"Let's go up stairs, before Kylie try to scream anymore." Toby said as he took his hand off of her mouth.

After we were upstairs, I looked around. The dining room looked like somebody actually lived here, except for there was nothing on the shelves or anything like that. I looked around and notice that there were pictures hanging on the wall. I started to look at the pictures. That was when I stopped and stared at one.
