i am so sorry for the long wait. i sorta am now a kpop stan but it doesn't stop me from palaye and so here is the second book. hopefully you guys enjoy it.
graycen has been on her own for almost 2 months. remington hasn't come out of his coma, and graycen is starting to have doubts about the ones taking care of him. she believes they're just giving up on him. through all of this, graycen has been accompanied by emerson.
emerson has been making sure that graycen is taken care of, and not only focused on remington. graycen is mostly in- outside of- remington's room; keeping him company. no one visits him but her and his brothers and maybe maddox, but it was mostly graycen.
this morning, graycen was there, hoping for anything from him. "rem- i- god this is stupid." graycen muttered to herself, running her hands through her hair in frustration.
remington used to run his hands through her hair, it was in the moments where the world stopped because they were close. they always made sure that time was either catching up, or completely silent to just enjoy each other's presence. remington would take the time and make sure that graycen felt safe. that's all he wanted, he just wanted her to feel safe with him.
"graycen-"
graycen put her hand up to stop emerson, who stood in the doorway with his arms crossed. "don't do the hand thing graycen, we have to do take out vitals. once we're done we can come back here." emerson said, a bit of annoyance in his tone.
"but what about rem? they aren't going to come here and check on him. so why should i even go? who knows what they'll do." graycen said, not breaking any contact with remington.
graycen was too scared, that if she looked away, remington would just disappear. "graycen, i promise you he isn't going to leave. he can't. and even if they do come back here, they're just going to check if they need to grab a body bag yet." emerson replied, his voice monotoned.
"emerson barrett." graycen warned.
"well that's usually what happens because the nurses and doctors don't come back. warhol tells them to just see what happens, and usually they don't make it." emerson said, "they put so many drugs into our systems, its just what happens here. you should know this."
graycen was becoming heated. she didn't want to hear was emerson was saying. she didn't want to picture the doctors carrying out remington in a bag. it was too much for her to handle. "emerson- just... just leave." graycen mumbled.
"i have to get you to go-"
"no, they can come to me."
