(Y/N) lead Luca towards her island, the water getting shallower and the sands getting higher. "Come on, Luca. It'll probably seem a little weird, but I promise that it'll be fun." She encourages, stepping onto the beach. Sand got between her webbed feet but she shook it off rather quickly, along with the water that kept her sea monster form present.
Her skin was (S/C), accompanied by (H/L) hair that glowed in the sun. Her (E/C) eyes looked down at Luca's warped silhouette from the water, ushering him over as she placed her basket in the sand.
Luca poked his head from the water, one of his eyes closed as he watched cautiously, opening the other once the coast was clear. He really shouldn't be doing this, but there was no turning back now. "Okay..whatever you say." He crawls towards the beach on his knees, his legs weak having never used them on land before. He flopped on his stomach, his fins rising in suprise as he used his arms to support his upper body weight with a grunt. His eyes widened in suprise as the sun beamed on his water soaked scales, watching as they disappeared to reveal pale, human skin.
"Come on, Luca. I'll show you some of the human stuff!" (Y/N) was about to force Luca up, but forgot he couldn't walk properly. The boy looks at her, furrowing his brow as he reached behind him, concerned by the absence of his tail. That was a major lack of balance for him, at least in water.
"Oh, right! Walking, you kinda need that. I'll teach you." She helps the boy to his feet. She wisps in front of him, watching as he sprawled out his arms and his legs buckled underneath him. "Well, first off, you've got to stand up tall. Can you do that?" She asks, gesturing to her upright standing position.
Luca smiles awkwardly, but copies (Y/N), standing up as tall as he possibly could. Once he felt comfortable, he allows himself to be a little more loose as be stood upright. "Like this?" He questions, his feet still pointing in opposite directions. (Y/N) gestured to her feet, showing him that they were both pointing the same direction. The young sea monster mouthed an 'oh' pointing his feet in the same direction.
"Grande! Now, when you walk, you put one leg in front of the other. But don't forget to bend your leg. It may sound complicated, but watch." (Y/N) explains, walking back and forth to demonstrate the movement of her legs. "Now you try, I'm sure you'll get it!" She encourages, rubbing her hands together with a smile.
Luca hesitantly bites his lip, placing one of his legs in front of the other. He almost toppled over and shut his eyes tightly. However, he didn't fall over. "Was that..okay?" He asks, half wobbling over to (Y/N). The female sea monster nods. "I think that's good! Now come on, I'll show you some things. There's another island past the reef here, but I think mines more interesting. Come on!"

(Y/N) had lead Luca through the forest of her island, showing him all sorts of things. "You see this? This is a fruit that land monster's like to eat." She gestures to a glorious apple tree, reaching up her free hand to grab the curious sea monster one of the delicious fruits. "Here, try it."
Luca took the shiny, red fruit from her hand. He gave it a little sniff, opening his mouth to bite into it. "Mmm!" He exclaimed, his brown eyes lighting up at this unfamiliar, sweet taste. He'd definitely have to pick some for his Mama, Papa and Grandma to try. However, he'd have to finish this apple first. He must've gotten distracted because he almost bumped into a wooden structure. "Woah, watch yourself!" (Y/N) peeked around the door of the wooden building.
The young sea monster stepped back to analyse the structure. It was an old, run down wood cabin, surrounded by flowers and tall shrubbery. Despite being run down, the roof panels were all aligned with eachother to capture heat and repell rainwater. Inside was decently done, a bed in the far corner of the main room, being held up by a wooden frame. There seemed to be more than one room, decorated with various human items. There were cabinets with no doors, cracked windows and some small holes in the wooden floor.
"You live here?" Luca questions in awe, stepping inside the old cabin. It was surprisingly organised for an elderly building.
"I don't live here, no, I live with my Mama and Papa in the ocean. This is my little home away from home." (Y/N) explains, opening her basket full of treats. "Do you want a slice of cod, Luca?" She questioned, pulling a slice from her basket and offering it to him. The boy nods, taking the portion of fish while holding his apple in the other hand. He opens his mouth, biting into the fish slice, licking stray scales from his lips.
(Y/N) set her basket on the wooden side, gazing out of the window to someplace else with a sigh. Luca tilted his head followed her gaze, taking another chomp of his fish slice. He saw her (E/C) eyes staring out to a colourful island decorated in tall, squished together human buildings. "Is that the human town? Have you ever been?" He questions, putting his apple on one of the wooden sides.
The female sea monster nodded at his question with a slight grimace. "I've been only once, with my Mama. However, it ended in me almost losing my tail when we were both spotted by some crazy fisherman and his stuck up son with a very pitiful moustache. I want to go again, but I'm not..sure if I should. Instead I'm thinking of having a look at that other island, Isola Del Mare. There's bound to be somebody living there."
