Chapter 8: the kiss

I gasp as I turn around to see the tall boy that I was dying to see.

N: Kyle!

I hug his neck making him bend down hugging my waist.

We stand there swaying as I hug him considering it's been three years since I've seen him. I squeeze his waist once more before letting go.

One we separate I punch him. Making him give out an ow.

N: fucker. I thought you were mad at me when you hung up on me.

He laughs rubbing his arm.

K: ow. Sorry mother, it was a surprise. I couldn't ruin it

He rolls his eyes rubbing the spot on his arm.

He looks over at my mom and dad seeing an amused look plastered on dad's face.

K: hey Mr and Mrs Baker

He waves. They smile.

They greet each other before we head upstairs. We sit on the bed watching TV for a few hours before I turn it off.

N: I want starbucks

He nods

K: let's go then

I nod jumping off my bed accidentally slipping on my shoe that was on the floor. I groan once I'm on the floor.

K: you alright stupid

I nod holding out my hands. He laughs picking me up, standing me on my feet.

N: can I change first

He nods getting on his phone. I go to my closet grabbing Jean shorts and a shirt before coming out. I go to change but his voice stops me

K: so your changing in front of me now?

I nod not caring considering our past times. It all started at one party Kyle took me to . I ended up drinking a few but that night ended with me giving him my virginity.

I wasn't exactly drunk since I knew what I wanted. Him being the sweet and caring guy he is said no bc in his words I was drunk. Which wasn't true. In the end we went for it and after that we messed around for a few months until the day he had to leave.

K: can I look up now?

He whines. I giggle.

N: it's not like you haven't seen my body before Mathew

K: so...

I look up to see him covering his eyes with his large hand.

Once I'm done I throw my shoes on.

N: I'm decent

He peeks by moving his finger aside before removing his hand. He stands and I walk towards him wrapping my small arms around his waist.

I lay my head on his chest and hum as he runs his hand through my hair. He lifts my chin before kissing my nose making my face scrunch up.

K: I missed you

I nod before pulling away.

N: can we go now

I pout. He nods throwing my small body over his shoulder. I giggle lightly hitting his back

N: put me down

He continues to walk down and heads to the door. I look up at my parents seeing their Confused glances.

N: were headed to Starbucks

Once we make it towards his car he carefully sets me on my feet before opening the door. I smile muttering a small 'thank you' before climbing in.

He jogs to his side, buckling up before driving. Once we get there we decide to just go through the drive thru, before going to the park.

Once we park he gets out before jogging to my side opening the door. Once I step out he closes the door locking the car.

I feel his hands lace through mine and we just walk around. I take a drink before starting a conversation.

"So, how's Arizona been treating you" he smiles. "Boring I miss you" I smile. "Oh c'mon it can't be that bad" I tease. But he stops walking looking me in the eye with a straight face.

"I mean it." He brings my body closer to him looking at my lips before looking back in my eyes, as if asking permission. I nod making him cup my cheek with his warm hand kissing me softly.
I wrap my arms around his neck pulling him closer, making him smile in the kiss
I hear laughter walking by before a voice makes me break the kiss.
