11:00pm
I had been discharged from hospital a few hours ago. Turns out I blacked out after hitting my head. The men took off of course but a lovely lady apparently stopped and called an ambulance. So here we are now.. laying on the couch. I had pretty much been sleeping all day. I had an excruciating headache so had been taking endone for that. Looking at the time it was late.. and I knew I was never going to sleep tonight after sleeping all day. Sitting here, alone.. I didn't realise how lonely I was. I hadn't even spoken to my mum or Harry since before the incident. I finally stood up from the couch. My head was spinning but the nurses at the hospital said that would be normal and to just "take it easy". I walked over to my phone that was on the kitchen bench. I was stopped in my tracks when I heard a knock on the door.
My heart started racing. Could the men have found out where I lived? I was literally shaking at the thought of it. I quietly tip toed to the door when the knocking happened again.. this time slightly louder. I couldn't bring myself to open the door so instead I peeked through the door camera. The police?
I walked up to the door and opened it. Two policemen stood at the door. They looked me up and down in a sympathetic way and smiled. I realised I was literally in my pyjamas. "Hi ma'am, do you mind if we could have a quick word?" My experience with police has never been good... they seem to be the ones that are always giving the bad news to me. "Of course", I said as I gestured for them to come in.
I politely offered them a cup of tea before running upstairs to throw a jumper on. "ma'am".. I interrupted.. "you can just call me Hannah". The word 'ma'am' makes me nervous. "We just had a couple questions about the incident yesterday if thats okay?" I gulped before looking down at my hands. I told them every little detail I could remember about the incident and about the men.. how many their were.. how old they looked.. how tall.. what they looked like. They nodded at me as I finished speaking. Apparently, they had received footage from the street of these men and knew exactly where to find them. I was very grateful.. I was hoping I wouldn't have to be as scared.
"Thank you for your time, Hannah, we will be in touch with you" they mumbled before leaving my apartment. I let out a big breath. I didn't even realise I had been holding it in. I walked back over towards the fridge to pour myself a drink of red wine. I mean surely that doesn't help a concussion but I couldn't remember the nurses saying anything to me about alcohol. I picked up my phone, walked back over to the couch and flicked on the TV for some background noise. I switched on my phone. The screen was cracked. "Fuck", I mumbled to myself.
* Harry: 24 missed calls*
* Harry: 18 text messages*
* Mum: 2 missed called*
* Tess: 10 text messages*
And the list just continued. I was confused? I hadn't told anyone about the accident so had something else happened? I clicked on Harry's name first...
* Baby, what happened? *
*I'm coming home right now *
*Please call me*
Just to show you a few. I decided to call him immediately. I don't even know what time it was where we was. But to my surprise he answered, "Han.. baby" he said in his gorgeous husky voice. I broke down in tears. I missed him. I wanted to be with him right now.
"I know.. shhh.. it's okay".. Harry said, instantly calming me down. I explained what had happened, but apparently he already knew. The footage was leaked.. everyone had seen it. We had been talking for over an hour when I started to fall asleep on the couch. "I'll see you soon baby, I love you" he said before hanging up. Wasn't long after that I fell asleep.
