George strolled across the wet pavement, walking up and down each pathway. To an outsider it would look like he was just bored with the blank expression on his face. But if you where to read his mind you'd have a hard time keeping up with the complex plot.

His dream, there was a deviation in its format. The steps where clear, he starts in the wheat field, Dream is there with him and his friends call for him. They talk till sun down and by then Dream is gone and George goes to look for him at the bench, Dream gives him a single cornflower.

But this time it wasn't just one, it was several formed into a crown. That's never happened before, it's always been the same. Why has it changed?

George ceased his pacing for a second to stare at the ground. He watched the dirty rain water hit the ground in front of him, some droplets splashing onto the toe of his tall boots.

He was too caught up in his thoughts to notice the splattering steps approaching his side.
"Gogy?" Came Karl's voice.
George turned his head to see Karl and Sapnap standing next to him.
"Oh, hey." George replied.
"What are you doing standing out here while it's raining?" Sapnap questioned in a concerned tone.

George just shrugged his shoulders in a noncommittal way.
"Come on, lets go inside." Karl said, leading them over to the closest building.

Once they got inside Sapnap walked over to the fireplace that was attached to the back wall of the room and started it up. All three of them sat near the fireplace, the light giving them a warm glow.
"So how have you been Gogy? I haven't seen you in like two weeks." Karl said.
Was he really asleep for that long? Well it's not much of a surprise, he's been known to sleep for long periods of time due to the whole 'not being completely human' thing.

"Oh, I guess I've been asleep for a while then." George responded in a quiet voice.
"I get that you're like half fairy or whatever but like I still don't get how you can sleep for so long. It's kinda concerning." Sapnap expressed.
"I'm not a fairy!" George responded, ignoring that last comment.
"Sorry, elf." Sapnap said in a sarcastic tone.

George huffed than turned his attention to the dark oak floor they where sitting on, he started drawing nonsensical patterns on it.

Sapnap turned his head to look at one of his fiances with an even more concerned expression. Karl returned the look and they both looks back at their friend.

"What's been on your mind Gog's? You seem out of it, more than usual." Karl inquired as he rested a comforting hand on the others shoulder.
"Yeah, you can tell us anything. We're your friends, we're here for you dude." Sapnap adds on.

George looked up from the spot on the floor, he looked at Karl then Sapnap then back to the floor.
"I-" He started. "I've been having this same dream over and over again for- I don't even know how long and its always been the same. It feels so real to me, I feel like I can't tell the difference between reality and and my dream."
George said, the words tumbling out of his mouth as if he's been itching to tell someone, which he has.

"Ok, well, what's the dream about?" Karl asked.
George opened his mouth to answer but hesitated for a second. Should he tell them? It's not like it's anything that terrible, just confusing considering the reality of things.

George replied "Do- do you remember? What it was like before all this drama happened? Before all the wars? I dream of what it would be like if non of it happened. Where it's just us and Quackity and... and Dream."
Sapnap and Karl could tell where this was going. It was a sore topic, especially for George. They never really talked about it, but they suppose it's time to.
"This is about Dream isn't it." Sapnap said, his voice sounding downcast.

George looked up at them again, this time not immediately looking back to the ground. He had tears forming in his eyes making it hard to look at his friends clearly. He nodded his head slightly and instantly felt two pairs of arms wrap around him. He let his tears fall on their shoulders, letting out small whimpers
"I know, I know." Sapnap kept repeating quietly while patting George's back.

They stayed like that for awhile, sitting on the ground infront of a fireplace. Holding onto eachother so tight, as if at any minute one of them might fall to their death. They all misses him, even if he's done some messed up shit, he was still their friend.
