Shy Away~ Tododeku [Singer!Deku AU]

I growled under my breath. Shouto had left me on read, he didn't even answer my question. Maybe... His lecture started or something and he didn't have a chance to reply. Yeah! That's it.

The table had already been set up, mostly. The plates and chopsticks lay on the table and I had scattered green cushions around the table. I had a teapot at the ready, to be filled with tea when they arrived. They, being my family, minus my mother. She was still in hospital, and doctors refused to let her out. With her current mental state, I'd probably refuse to let her out too. She'd been especially on edge lately; ever since we told her about the things father had been doing- the usual, negelcting us, sharp words, etc- mother had just gotten worse.

I don't think Endeavour had visited her since two months ago either. He's a busy man... Who never had time for his family. I work hard so that our family can be brought back together, so we can be happy. But I guess everyone just really hates each other.

The mochi that I had also prepared sat on the counter, the only nice looking thing amidst the flour and rice covering the table. I should have cleaned it up, but I wasn't quite in the mood at that moment and the chair seemed like quite a nice place to stay for a while. 

Before I knew it, I had been sleeping for several hours and only had around ten minutes until my family arrived. I was in quite the state of panic, and realisation had begun to set in. They were coming. Natsu, Shouto and... Father...

Ding!

I jumped as the doorbell rang. Whoever was outside, I needed to face.

Opening the door, I was faced with Natsuo. "Oh gosh, it's you. I'm lucky dad didn't arrive first..."

Natuso nodded and we both sat down in the kitchen, awaitng his arrival. And arrive he did.

A/N: Hello! This chapter is really, really short and I know that, but kinda lost inspiration for Yumi's POV and didn't really know what else to write... I've been stuck here for a while now but here we are! Getting somewhere... I guess!
