Staring down the son of endeavor Izuku knew that Todoroki had something to say. The tension in the air was overwhelming, both of them were speechless. Not even phased by Todoroki's cold demeanor, Izuku decided to break the silence. "Let me guess, you're wondering what the hell happened to me during those 10 months before U.A. You're either the fifth person to ask me this." Izuku says, only to be met by the silence of Shoto Todoroki. "You made me break the promise I made years ago Midoriya, Yaoyorozu, Kaminari, Iida, Uraraka. They never felt it but when you fired that arrow at me. When I saw those eyes of utter determination I was the only person that knew the truth about you." Todoroki mutters, breaking the silence. "What does that have to do with me?" Izuku responded. "I'm saying both your quirk and your fighting style are similar to not only All Might but also that Emerald archer that's been roaming the streets lately. Now answer this question honestly, are you his prodigy? Or did you really endure 10 months of hell before coming to U.A. I saw those scars Midoriya." Todoroki continues, glancing at one of Izuku's scars located on his upper part of his arm. "My father, I'm pretty sure you know him as Endeavor. The number 2 hero and if my suspicions are true that you're connected to All Might it gives me a whole another reason to want to beat you." Todoroki responded by declaring his rivalry towards his fellow classmate. Todoroki brought up something called quirk marriages where both partners would be paired in order to create the ultimate combination quirk for their child. Expressing his hatred for his father Todoroki swore to himself never to give him the satisfaction of using his left side. "The only memories I have of my mother were her crying to herself. I can remember clearly the day when she called my left side unbearable. Right before she poured boiling water on my face." Todoroki continued with his backstory while covering his left side of his face. It didn't take long before Izuku compared Todoroki's pain with his own. The pain that radiated from Izuku's scars still horrified him. The fresh cuts from Oliver, the time where he shot two arrows at his back during their time at Lian Yu. All those ten months of training flashed through him like a movie on replay. "Unlike you Midoriya, you only endured pain for 10 months while I endured it for my entire life so don't go pretending you're some cold-hearted hotshot you got it?" Todoroki says, turning his back towards Izuku. "Todoroki, you're wrong about me. You may think that I'm this cold demented individual whose sole goal is to become the number one hero. That may be true but I don't use my pain to hurt people that pisses me off. I pity you Todoroki, really I do. No one should ever go through the childhood you went through but that won't stop me from beating you." Izuku states, looking directly at the eyes of Endeavor's son. "You sound like my father, but either way we'll cross paths soon enough..." Todoroki mutters before leaving Izuku alone.

Sighing at what had transpired, Izuku started walking back to the locker room to get himself ready for the final round. Surprisingly, Izuku ran into Bakugo who heard the entire conversation. "Does he know?" Bakugo asks, not even turning around to face his former bully. "Maybe, maybe not. What I went through needs to be kept a secret." Izuku responds, continuing to walk towards the locker room.

After intermission was over, Midnight announced that the remaining competitors would draw ballets to see who would face one another, the fight being completely randomized but before she could even begin many students raised their hand requesting to withdraw from the final event. Students including Jirio, a spiky purple-haired boy from class 1-C made them all go into some kind of trance. Ojirio being one of them also requested to withdraw which came as a shocker to everyone. Taking some time to think it over Midnight honored their request, allowing them to withdraw from the competition which ultimately made the 5th place team partake in the final round. By the time the students drew their ballets Izuku realized that if he defeated Shinso, he would face Todoroki in his second match but before he could start planning he was stopped by Shinso. "Hey, Midoriya. What was your internship like at Queen Consolidated before coming to U.A?" Shinso asks, but before Izuku could answer his fellow classmate Ojiro silenced the green-haired boy. Warning him not to mention any word to him. The karate hero then proceeded to take his fellow classmate into the locker room leaving Shinso alone with no answer at all.
